Property Summary
Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Il Molinaccio is an extraordinary vacation rental that invites you to experience the timeless beauty of the Italian countryside near the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, Italy. This remarkable property is the result of a meticulous and passionate restoration of an ancient watermill dating from the sixteenth century, already documented on the old maps of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. The original architecture has been lovingly preserved, with terracotta floors, exposed beams, and stone façades seamlessly blended with modern comforts and tasteful furnishings that draw from the rich rural tradition of Tuscany. The interior combines salvaged pieces of antique furniture with contemporary accessories, achieving a harmonious balance between tradition and functionality. Designed with a deep respect for the environment, the restoration was carried out according to sustainable principles, incorporating innovative systems that guarantee complete energy efficiency, including a photovoltaic system that offers free recharging for electric vehicles. The property is surrounded by a generous yard that includes a colorful garden bordered by century-old oak trees, a fruit grove, and a 3.5-hectare vineyard. Wireless Internet connection is available throughout the property, keeping you connected while you enjoy the absolute tranquility of this unique setting. 2 covered parking spaces are provided on-site for your convenience, ensuring a comfortable and practical stay from the moment of your arrival.
Outdoors
The outdoor spaces of Il Molinaccio are as captivating as the interiors, offering a seamless extension of the property's natural elegance. The property is immersed in a one-hectare park consisting primarily of woodland, while the house itself is surrounded by approximately 6,000 square metres of well-maintained garden lawn framed by old oak trees that provide generous shade and a natural coolness on warm summer days. Rose bushes and geraniums add vibrant splashes of color to this oasis of green and tranquility. A beautiful stone portico, furnished with a table and benches, provides an ideal setting for pleasant outdoor meals in the open air. Just outside the kitchen, a large paved area has been equipped as an additional dining space, perfect for alfresco gatherings. A large barbecue is available for your use, inviting you to prepare flavorful grills accompanied by a glass of the estate's own Nobile di Montepulciano. The small forest is crossed by the river Salcheto, along which the owners Marco and Alessandro have created a walking footpath with natural bridges, ideal for leisurely strolls or moments of relaxation on handmade wooden benches while enjoying the surrounding natural landscape. Along the river, 3D targets representing local animals have been positioned, transforming the path into a fully fledged Field Archery Range where both professionals and amateurs may practice or learn this ancient sport with the assistance of a skilled trainer. A small outbuilding serves as a laundry facility. The property's cats wander freely throughout the park, adding a charming and authentic rural atmosphere to your stay. Please be aware that photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the blossoming of flowers and the color of the garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.
