Property Description
Charming former stone barn with private pool situated in peaceful location south of Siena, amidst the beautiful hills of the Crete Senesi area. The house has been skilfully restored preserving its original architectural features and turned into a comfortable country accommodation offering tastefully furnished interiors. This nice property enjoys extensive views over the surrounding hills and valleys.
Distances: Castelmuzio with all kinds of shops 3 km, Montisi 4 km, Pienza 20 km, Sinalunga approx. 20 km, the town of Montalcino renowned for its excellent Brunello wine 30 km, Siena approx. 50 km.
At guests’ disposal: large private furnished garden, private swimming-pool (7,80 x 5,20 m – max. depth 1,50 m), barbecue, table tennis. All windows are provided with screens. Washing-machine and ironing facilities available. The access to the property is via an unpaved road not suitable for sports cars. Parking within the grounds.
Extra services: maid service available by arrangement (payment on the spot). Upon request it is possible to organise hot air balloon trips, visit to local festivals, cheese, oil and wine tastings.

Wir haben nicht die volle Punktzahl gegeben, da die staubige Zufahrt von Anwohnern und einem Pferdetransport (mehrmals am Tag) relativ rücksichtslos genutzt werden. Das kann sich aber zwischenzeitlich geändert haben (bitte nachfragen).

Everything we were looking for in a vacation rental !! After day trips around Tuscany and we loved to return to this quiet, comfortable home at the end of the day. A beautiful house and a beautiful site. With a car you can reach most of sentral Toscana within one hour. A place where you really can relax. The house was very clean, well equipped and the service is excellent. Mauro, the host, is cleaning the pool and watering the flowers almost every day. You simply cant miss this!!!!

Wunderschönes Haus, absolute Privatsphäre! Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Pool wird sehr regelmässig gereinigt ohne das man es merkt(morgen sehr früh) Die Übergsbe und Abnahme klappte hervorragend. Der Weg ist mit einem Sportwagen zu meistern ohne jegliches Aufsetzen oder Kratzer. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Auch die Sehenswürdikeiten sind in wenigen Autominuten zu erreichen. Wir würden wiederkommen!

If you are searching for peace and privacy, this is the place to be. The house is located on a small hill in a beautiful landscape with no houses nearby. The location is more beautiful than the pictures show you. The pool is perfect, the house is very well equipped and nicely decorated. We had a perfect vacation!

The ‘Casotto’ is a lovely little property lost in beautiful rolling Tuscan countryside about 3 kilometres outside the village of Castelmuzio. Be warned however that access is via an unmade dirt track, the last 2 km of which are steep & heavily rutted, for peace of mind a 4x4 is highly recommended. A converted barn finished to a very high standard in 2009 by the owners who are extremely friendly & helpful, the property makes an ideal base for a couple or small family wishing to visit Arezzo, Lucignano, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena etc.

The villa was great. It looks just like the pictures on the website. This villa is for people who want to be in a very quiet and isolated setting. The owners were sweet and welcoming. They only speak Italian. Our only issue is that the dirt road to get to the property is terrible. We were worried about our rental care being damaged. A small jeep is needed.

this property and location is beautiful. The property was very clean and well looked after. The pictures on the website do not do it any justis. The area was quiet and if you want total relaxation then this is the place. We used to sit on an evening watching the sun going down and the wild dear playing in the fields below.
