The charming medieval town of Anghiari, in the province of Arezzo, was of extreme importance during the Middle Ages due its strategic position on a hilltop in Tuscany. In a time where lands changed hands frequently, this positioning was useful in preventing it slipping from your own grip and into another's. It is also here that the famous Battle of Anghiari took place, in 1440 when Florentine troops defeated a Milanese army and gained control of the region. Said scene was famously depicted by Da Vinci, further solidifying the town's place and name in history. Today, it is an exceptionally pretty place with cobbled streets that wind up and down hills, quaint stone buildings draped in plants and flowers, cute restaurants and little stores, and more. It is also where an incredible craft fair takes place each Spring, showcasing extraordinary artisanal goods still made by traditional methods in the surrounding area. Property Description
Charming portion of a villa situated in a small hamlet dating back to the 17th century, a short distance away from the small town of Anghiari, (in Arezzo surroundings) which was theater of a war between Florence and Milan in 1440.
This hamlet comprises 7 houses all of which have been recently restored with their original architectural features preserved. Casa del Rosmarino offers welcoming and tastefully furnished.
Outside, guests can enjoy use of a nice shared pool set in panoramic location. The property owner lives nearby.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road suitable to any car.

Wunderschönes, individuelles & liebevolles Interieur. Eine sehr, sehr herzliche Vermieterin, die stets um unser Wohl bemüht war & keine Wünsche offen lies. Es fehlte an nichts. Einzig die Zufahrt zum Objekt war, wie so oft in Italien, nur mit viel Gefühl zu befahren. Aber ansonsten herausragendes Objekt.

Wonderfully and lovingly decorated interiors. A very, very cordial landlady, who was always concerned about our well-being & nothing to be desired. There was nothing missing. Only the access road to the property was to be driven with attention, as it is very often the case in Italy. But otherwise outstanding object.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes
Our stay at Casa Del Rosmarina was wonderful. The house is very cozy and comfortable, which makes your stay very pleasant. The owner of the property is really friendly and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Stella, the “house” dog keeps you company (outside) while enjoying the evening sun on the terrace.
The environment is really quiet and the views from the house are beautiful.
Anghiari is a small town that brings you back in years. It is has a small supermarket, several coffee bars, some restaurants and a some lovely shops. Arezzo is a half hour drive and worthwhile to visit during a stay in Anghiari. A car is recommended during your stay.Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes
