Property Description

Casetta i Ciliegi is an old stone house that has been skilfully renovated and is located in an extremely panoramic position, 750 m above sea level, and is part of the tiny hamlet of Cantalena Alta. Casetta i Ciliegi is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life and be in close contact with nature. Green woods, steep hills and cultivated countryside frame this beautiful house with a large, fully-fenced outdoor area where you can relax in the beautiful private swimming pool (size 7x4 mt, depth 1.20-1.50 mt - open from 01st May to 30th September) and in the porch furnished with table, chairs and barbecue.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).

The beautiful town of Cortona, with its stone alleys, Rugapiana and the Church of Santa Margherita, and the medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino are both about 15 km away and have all the necessary shops and services. Casetta i Ciliegi can be reached via a scenic mountain road that is partly unpaved (about 4 km), not recommended for sports cars. Especially the first time it may be a little difficult, but once you get there you will understand that it is worth making a little effort to admire such a beautiful view. The furnishings are simple but comfortable and match the characteristics of the house.

The initial deposit required to confirm a reservation to be paid at the time of booking (unless there are special conditions in place) is 25% of the total rent amount.

The balance is due 45 days before arrival.

For last-minute bookings (within 45 days of arrival) the full amount must be paid at the time of the booking.

In case of cancellation of the booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties apply:
- the initial deposit (25% of total rent) if the cancellation is made between booking time up to 46 days before arrival date;
- 100% of total rental price if the cancellation is made from 45 days to arrival date or in case of no show.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Wir wurden von Roberta und Ihrer Familie sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Haus ist wunderbar gelegen und bietet einen unvergesslichen Urlaub mit wunderschönen Eindrücken. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt durch die authentische Einrichtung hat uns gut gefallen. Der Garten ist auch sehr schön und gepflegt. Der Pool war immer sauber und sah einladend aus. Die umliegenden Städte bieten viele Möglichkeiten zum bummeln, staunen und flanieren. Es gibt mit dem Auto viele gut erreichbare Supermärkte. Wir würden jedem empfehlen in dieser einzigartigen Unterkunft Urlaub zu machen.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub mit unseren Kindern. Das Haus mit dem Garten und dem Pool ist einfach traumhaft. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und haben immer sofort geholfen, wenn wir sie angeschrieben haben. Die Ausstattung im Haus ist prima, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Fantastische plek voor een relaxte vakantie! Prachtig uitzicht waar je elke avond getrakteerd wordt op een schitterende zonsondergang. Heerlijk zwembad om af te koelen en gezellig dineren onder de boog bij het huis. Alle ingrediënten voor een prima vakantie!
Het is even ‘klimmen’ met de auto maar zeker de moeite waard!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus im Toskanischem Stiel. Absolut schöner Garten mit Mandelbäumen, Kiwi und Aprikosenbäumen usw.. Vermieter haben sich super um uns gekümmert. Pool wurde jeden Morgen gereinigt von den Besitzern. Das gepflegte Haus steht mitten in der unberührten Natur und ist ein wahrer Schatz. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Danke Roberta und Stefano!

Beautiful location with exceptional views & sunsets. I’ve never seen so many shooting stars or phenomenal lightning shows in the distance. The 5km drive to the villa on the dirt track is dusty & bone jarring. It is possible in a normal front wheel drive car but not pleasant. A rear wheel drive car would struggle. A 4x4 would be better equipped to deal with it.

Einzigartige, absolut ruhige Lage in den Bergen der Toskana. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und sehr gepflegt. Ob zu Zweit oder mit der ganzen Familie es ist alles vorhanden was man zum täglichen Leben so braucht.Umgeben ist das Haus mit vielen Obstbäumen die je nach Jahreszeit geerntet werden dürfen. Auch die vielen Blumen rund ums Haus sind wunderschön.Der wirklich große Garten ist komplett eingezäunt, so war es auch für unseren Hund Lucy wunderbar durch den Garten zu laufen. Das Highlight des Hauses ist der tolle Pool mit den Liegen und dem Poolhaus. Gerade heuer im Juli war es super, da es sehr heiß war. Wir waren heuer schon zum 3. Mal hier.
Liebe Roberta, lieber Stefano herzlichen Dank für zwei wunderschöne Wochen bei Euch. Wir freuen uns schon auf nächstes Jahr.

The house is surrounded by many fruit trees that can be harvested depending on the season, and the many flowers around the house are beautiful. The really big garden is completely fenced in, so it was also wonderful for our dog Lucy to run through the garden. The highlight of the house is the great pool with the sunbeds and the pool house. Especially this year in July it was great because it was very hot. We stayed here for the 3rd time now.

Das Haus ist in der Tat exakt so wie beschrieben - wer Italien und insbesondere die Toskana liebt - wird hier eine sehr schöne Zeit verbringen.
Ein Rustiko an einsamer Stelle, aber so exponiert, dass man die Natur und den Ausblick genießen kann. Viel mehr Privatsphäre als dort ist nciht möglich. Wichtig ist aber auch, dass das Haus trotz alter Substanz, charmanter Möbelierung, alles für den täglichen Gebrauch vorhält. Wer hier Urlaub verbringt, braucht eigentlich fast nichts mitbringen: Küche fast komplett, TV-Entertainment, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Handtüchter, sogar für den Pool, ...
Ganz wichtig für uns: das Garten ist in der Tat vollständig umzäunt, ein Hund kann dort eigentlich nicht weglaufen.
Korrekt ist in der Beschreibungen auch, dass man das Haus mit tiefergelegten Autos nicht anfahren kann. Die Zufahrt bis zur Hauptstraße ist mindestens 3,9km eine Schotterpiste, die sich allerdings mit einem normalen Auto bewerkstelligen läßt.

But it is also important that the house has everything for daily use despite the old substance and charming furniture. Those who spend their holidays here don't really need to bring anything with them: almost complete kitchen, TV entertainment, washing machine, dishwasher, towels, even for the pool, ...
Very important for us: the garden is in fact completely fenced, a dog cannot actually run away there.
It is also correct in the description that you cannot drive to the house with low cars. The driveway to the main road is at least 3.9 km of gravel road, which, however, can be done with a normal car.

Perfecto!
Wij verbleven 1 week in Casetta I Ciliegi. Wat kregen we een warm welkom door de eigenaren Roberta en Stefano.
En wat een schitterende plek om te vertoeven. Allereerst het huis is prima uitgerust en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ziet er netjes en goed verzorgd uit. De tuin rond het huis is ruim voorzien van mooie bloemen en biedt veel ruimte. In de tuin heb je een mooi uitzicht op de omgeving. ‘s Avonds kan je genieten van de mooie zonsondergangen bij het huis of lekker bij het zwembad. En ja het zwembad is ook gewoon goed en een heerlijke verkoeling tijdens een hete zonnige dag. Goede ligstoelen en ook een zitgelegenheid om even in de schaduw te zitten. Heerlijk gewoon.
Voor de boodschappen en eventuele uitstapjes moet je wel de tijd nemen maar dat weegt niet op tegen deze schitterende plek. Het is elke weer een fijn thuiskomen, ondanks de onverharde weg naar het huis toe.
Al met al raden we deze woning zeker aan. Wij willen zeker terugkomen.

Wunderschöne ruhige Lage in den Bergen der Toskana. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, der Garten mit seinen Kirschbäumen und vielen mediteranen Blumen ist ein Genuss fürs Auge und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Auch der Poolbereich mit Liegen und überdachten Sitzgelegenheiten lassen keine Wünsche offen. Auch für Hunde ein Paradies, der wirklich sehr große Garten ist komplett eingezäunt. Auch die Vermieter sind super nett. Liebe Roberta, lieber Stefano herzlichen Dank für 2 super Ferienwochen. Wir waren zum 2. Mal hier und werden nächstes Jahr sicher wiederkommen.

We stayed for two weeks in this beautiful villa. The villa is clean, specious and well equipped. The property is nicely maintained with trees and a lots of plants. The sunsets seen from the villa are unforgettable.
The pool area is also great and we enjoyed the pool itself as well especially the kids.
The only disadvantage is the long rough and sometimes quite steep road from the nearest city leading to the house. But we made it also with a regular car but with a SUV it would be much easier.
It was a wonderful stay. Sending thanks the owners and the garden keeper.

Huis met alles erop en er aan. Geweldig uitzicht vanaf het terras en en mooi privezwembad. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Een echte aanrader dus!!

A great villa. Owners were very kind and helpfull. Downside were the stinging flies by the pool, which kept attacking us when we were swimming. Also the road to the villa is very bad.

We feel privileged to have spent two amazing weeks at Casetta i Ciliegi. The hosts Were exceptional and did so much to ensure that our holiday was perfect. It was great to be so close to nature but to also have a pool and the facilities of the house. Spectacular views over Tuscany cannot be beaten.
