This property is located in the fortified medieval hamlet of Volpaia, in the Chianti Classico area, in a secluded position ensuring complete privacy. It is just a 300 metre walk to the centre of the hamlet, with two restaurants, one of which managed by the Castello di Volpaia farm, where it is possible to taste the local cuisine. This place, that our guests have named "the house of the fairies", situated next to a river in a sheltered position, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards which used to attract many poets, writers and artists since the '700 when the English romantic poet William Wordsworth became famous internationally with the ancient Abbey of Vallombrosa and its fantastic forest (visited several times in recent years by His Majesty Prince Charles). The natural garden, along the riverside, offers many open spaces and corners in which you can sit and relax, while the salt water swimming pool is situated in a beautiful corner surrounded by nature, with steps leading down to the river where more adventurous guests can dive under the waterfall. The delightful roof overlooking the river, decorated on the model of a Medici villa, is an ideal spot for outdoor dining and become extremely romantic by candlelight. The room of millstones (on request) is the special hiding place for snacks and relaxing wine tasting, in an atmosphere that takes you back to ancient times. This lovely property is located in the hills between Lucca and the Versilian coast, with the possibility of reaching the major Tuscan cities of art for day trips. The present owners restored Bottino, a property under the supervision of the Italian Historic Buildings Administration, which is made up of a farmhouse and a barn. The restoration resulted in a very attractive country-style property, composed of two buildings, where two groups or families may enjoy a stay together while maintaining their independence, as each house offers its own kitchen, a cosy sitting-room and every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. Also all beds can be prepared either as double or as twin beds (please warn in advance of your request). The lovely terraced garden, surrounded by an olive grove, offers guests several places to sit outside and is nicely furnished for outdoor meals. The pool was designed to blend perfectly with the Tuscan countryside, and has been placed just outside the barn, with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Since it is less than 10 km from the motorway exit, it is an ideal base for visiting the main Tuscan towns. Clients who rented Alisso in the past have particularly appreciated the beauty and quiet of the estate. The house has been immaculately restored and furnished, and is especially bright and full of light. Its structure makes it ideal for two families who wish to take a holiday together, while maintaining their own privacy. Teto belongs to the Fattoria di Fubbiano, an estate producing one of the most renowned wines of Lucca area. It is located in a sunny position, on the Eastern hills of Lucca, with wine cellars and acres of vineyards, olive groves and woods. We have been renting here, for many years, two of the ancient properties belonging to the characteristic 'borgo': Fubbiano, the main villa, and Magrini, a restored farmhouse. From season 2013 we are glad to add this third property, Teto. The house had been acquired years ago by an American, who totally restored and transformed it in a very comfortable residence for his family use. It has recently sold it back to the Fubbiano estate, that will grant same attention and care for making it a most enjoyable holiday home. Idyllically situated among vineyards and olive groves this lovely house benefits of the proximity of the borgo, where the local office and the wine cellars are located, yet enjoying full privacy because of its secluded position on the western side of the estate. The views from the estate are the ones of the typical Tuscan countryside, with vineyards, tower bells and the plain of Lucca below and the Monti Pisani hills in the distance. The interiors have been comfortably equipped and furnished in a delightful yet discreet country style and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The exterior offers a peaceful and panoramic setting with a lovely blossomed garden where to relax and a nice pergola where to have outdoor meals enjoying the views and the quiet of the surroundings.

At the cellar you can also reserve wine tastings and tours of the farm, together with the visit to the beautiful vineyards.

Villa Mandorlo offers a private garden (around 500 sqm) and a beautiful swimming pool both extremely panoramic, overlooking the valley, the surrounding hills and the lovely city of Arezzo, and which give really charming sceneries. In Arezzo there are shops, supermarkets and typical restaurants together with works of art of great value from renowned artists such as Piero della Francesca and Giorgio Vasari. The shell shape pool, size mt 6,50x8,40 (depth mt 1,30), is placed right in front of the airy dining-room which with its large windows offers, besides the view, also the possibility of unforgettable dinners at pool side.
