A very nice place, with lots of space, a tennis court, a pool that got cleaned every day and an extremely friendly and helpful Administrator that was around most of the time if we had any questions or problems (which wasn't the case). There are several local supermarkets that you can reach by car within 7 minutes and you are completely for yourself in a big radius - so you can also be louder if you want to. Would book this place again.

The villa looked just like in the pictures! It was a very relaxing Tuscany experience.
The owner was also super nice and helpful.
However, while we enjoyed it very much overall, it too some time for us to adjust, and there are some important details which are not mentioned in the villa's description:
There is a 10-15 minutes drive up a narrow, steep gravel road, which isn't fun at all at night (especially after a lot of wine).
The water in the villa are drawn from the local well, and are full of scale, which makes them non drinkable, so you have to buy a lot of water bottles.
Only one bath out of the 4 is actually usable (one has no water pressure at all, and two are just big tubs).
The pool and the external dining area are full of bees and hornets, which makes it pretty unpleasant to stay for a long time.
There's almost no light inside the villa, even on sunny days with all the windows open.
If you want to use any of the cool activities (private chef or wine tour), you have to book it at least a month in advance with the owner (we had no idea and so missed on both).
Since we were aiming for the rural experience in the first place, we had a pretty good time. We were just a bit disappointed all of these issues weren't mentioned at all in the website, so.. There you go ????

Montegufoni is a famous Tuscan Castle, and as often happens with historical properties like this one, there are in place National and Local laws preventing works aimed to transform the building just to add some amenities and comforts that are easily available at home or in a hotel. These properties mantain their personality and flavour also because of their difference from more commercial and standardized facilities.
On a more technical note, regarding the apartment you booked, there was not mention of A/C or window screens in its description. If you were to book with us again in the future, which we would always welcome, please note for your convenience that you can always use the filters function of our website or ask our experienced villa specialists directly for any essential requirement you should have of the accommodation and we will find the right one for you!
Finca muy bonita y con buena situación. No obtante, todo respira un aire antiguo por lo que sería recomendable hacer una actualización de los dormitorios.
Sería bueno que hubiera aire acondicionado y una fumigación, había mosquitos en todas partes. No era posible darse un baño en la piscina sin que te picaran.

Das Ferienhaus "La Vecchia Fattoria" ist wirklich ein außergewöhnlicher Urlaubsort. Wir haben die 18 Tage dort sehr genossen. Es liegt abgeschieden und ruhig. Das Dorf ist gut zu Fuß ereichbar und bietetalles, was zum täglichen Leben nötig ist. Auf dem Grundstük hat man viel Platz und es bieten sich viele Möglichkeiten zu sitzen, zu spielen, sich auzuruhen und die Natur und den Garten zu genießen. Der Pool ist eine gute Abwechslung an heißen Tagen. Mir hatte es das muntere Plätschern des kleinen Brunnens angetan. Die Kinder liebten den engen Kontakt zu den vielen Tieren auf dem Gelände (Hund, Katze, Hase, Schafe, Ziegen, Pony, Enten, Gänse, Hühner). Der Kontakt zu der sehr freundlichen und hilfebereiten Vermieterin war vorzüglich und für uns eine große Bereicherung. Wir bekamen viele Tipps und in manchen Fällen auch ganz konkrete Hilfe. Das ganze Anwesen, vom Zugang über die Ausgestaltung bis zur Einrichtung ist sehr urig und uin manchen Punkten auch etwas improvisiert. Das ist sicher nicht für jeden etwas. Wir mochten es sehr!
Achtung: Der Anfashrtsweg mit dem Auto ist sehr eng und steil. Der Weg hoch zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad ins Dorf ebenso. Das hält fit!
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The holiday home "La Vecchia Fattoria" is truly an exceptional holiday destination. We really enjoyed the 18 days there. It is secluded and quiet. The village is within walking distance and offers everything needed for daily life. There is plenty of space on the property and there are many opportunities to sit, play, relax and enjoy nature and the garden. The pool is a good change on hot days. The children loved the close contact with the many animals on the site (dog, cat, rabbit, sheep, goats, pony, ducks, geese, chickens). The contact with the very friendly and helpful landlady was excellent and for us a great asset. We got lots of tips and in some cases very specific help.The whole property, from access to the design to the decor is very quaint and in some ways somewhat improvised. That's certainly not something for everyone. We really liked it!
Attention: The access road by car is very narrow and steep. The way up on foot or by bike to the village as well. That keeps you fit!

The Appartement was totally Perfect and in a good Shape. The owner of the House was very friendly and helped us immediately Even if there were just Little Problems or Questions. I can just recommend the appartement to everyone.

The Marsiliana house does not meet the minimum conditions for such an accommodation. The equipment of the house and, above all, the hygiene conditions make it absolutely not recommendable (some of the beds had bedbugs that have filled us with hundreds of bites).
La casa Marsiliana no reúne las condiciones mínimas para un alojamiento de este tipo. El equipamiento de la casa y, sobre todo, las condiciones de higiene la hacen totalmente no recomendable (varias de las camas tenían chinches que nos han hecho cientos de picaduras).
[Counter comment from the owners] There are guests also now and they did not have any bed bugs. As far as the conditions of the cleaning, we are very sorry that the renters did not tell us during the stay - we would have attended.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Villa Oleandro. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut um ausflüge zu unternehmen. Der Pool ist schön und wir konnten uns bestens entspannen.
