What an unforgettable week we had at Villa Caprera! Located very close to Siena, it was an excellent 'base' for exploring Central Tuscany by car...that is when we had the inclination to leave this wonderful villa!
The splendid decor is a mix of antique and ultra-modern which provided a homey atmosphere with convenient amenities. We put the well equipped kitchen to good use for several meals (great markets & farm stands are nearby). Many items you would look for in a fine hotel were present: nice bathrooms, cozy linens, spotless furniture, & WIFI. Every window had a stunning view of the hills and olive groves surrounding the property!
Other useful features: a patio with tables and chairs provided, washing machine (but no dryer... normal for Italian households), high ceilings, DVD w/ small library of movies, & a dishwasher.
The property is represented by EasyReserve which made for a delightful booking experience.
Prior to our arrival, Simona the owner provided us with good practical information and was kind enough to secure a few dinner reservations around Tuscany for us.
There didn't seem to be any negative items at Villa Caprera, but on a practical note, potential renters should be aware that: 1) This is a 1 story walk-up apartment. 2) One of the 3 bedrooms is a loft up another flight of stairs...making it quite romantic, but probably not great for infirm guests... and 3) It wasn't easy to find the 1st time we drove there, as it's not indicated on any GPS (Simona warned us as much) & the main highway nearby has at least 4 different names. Once we arrived, I locked it into my GPS & we never had another problem.
Did I mention the stunning views from every window?? Breathtaking!!

We stayed in Loggia for ten days in mid-March and were delighted with the property, the food, the cooking class and especially the warmth and support of the two hosts. They advised us on sightseeing options, supplied internet support, brought us fresh bread every morning and firewood every evening. Their availability, resourcefulness and graciousness transcended any that we have experienced in other lodgings.

A group of four of us stayed here and we absolutely loved the home and the owners! It was pure bliss in the country with postcard like views, the drive to Cortona is close and we lived the town. Poggiobello was very clean, spacious and charming with it's Tuscan style. My wife took a cooking class from owner and loved it! Would go back to again and again. Location is also close enogh if you want to drive to some wine regions in addition to other sights of Tuscany.

Europe had severely cold weather this February and Italy was no exception. When I booked a villa through EasyReserve in Tuscany, the overall experience was great. They were responsive and when necessary, made a personal contact to remedy the situation. Due to the severe cold, the original villa I booked was not accessible because of icy road. EasyReserve rep called me personally after sending an email and asked whether I wanted to change the villa which I did.
After an overnight flight from the States and driving an hour after renting a car from the Florence airport, when we arrived at the Casa de Vignolo, the 12th century stone house was ice cold. The boiler was off and it felt like walking into a freezer. My husband and I wanted to get some nap after the long trip but it was impossible since the sheet felt like a sheet of ice. Later during our 8 days of stay, the boiler went off twice due to wind/or whatever other reasons so I don’t think it was intentional. The owners of the house were friendly and they tried to help in any way possible. When we tried to get some firewood, Francesco was kind enough to call the gas station and have the logs delivered to our place.
We did have a great time despite the cold weather. A word of advice – if you are staying in Casa de Vignolo, make sure you visit Arezzo which is the closest bit town with lots of history/sites and wonderful restaurants. Also Space Prada (Prada outlet) is in less than 10 miles from the place in Montevarchi which is practically next town.

The villa we stayed in is very beautiful and fully equiped. The owners are very nice and help full and we would definately visit again. It was the most amasing time we had and really enjoyed. looking forward to the next trip.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Villa Fabbroni. We rented the Loggia and we had so much space for the 5 of us. All the rooms were very large including the bathrooms. We loved the antique furniture as well . Every evening we enjoyed a beautiful fire with the antique fireplace.
Sergio and Stefano were great hosts not forgetting about their great doggie Oscar.Sergio is a great cook preparing a beautiful meal on the Sat. evening with little notice.
The two negatives are the property is quite remote at the end of a bumpy hilly road and get specific directions to the Villa . It is a little hard to find initially. However with the GPS there shouldn't be any problem . The location is really only about 30 minutes from Florence so we drove into Florence three times in the week.A beautiful setting indeed.R. We absolutely loved this villa! In particular, the owner was wonderful, kind, helpful and had great ideas for traveling in Toscana. The beds and bedding were terrific, the grounds were lovely, the annex was quaint! We had such a fun time gathering there, cooking, eating, talking, making art, eating, tasting wine, drinking beer, eating (did I say eating?). It was a wonderful choice that I'd recommend to anyone.

Il Pergolo apartment of Villa Fabbroni was fantastic for our group of 7 people (2 of which were young children) plus a dog! We loved its beautiful, rural location off the beaten path at the top of a hill. We loved the authentic yet comfortable feel of the restored villa. Each of the 4 bedrooms even had its own bathroom, which was great for getting us all out early enough to tour around (we went to Pisa/Lucca, Greve in Chianti, and Sienna). We dined at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and Sergio's cooking was delicious! We even had the Tues night pizza in the apartment, which was great and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We saw other guests having a cooking class with Sergio and wish we'd had time to do that too...maybe next time! Stefano was very helpful providing maps and info for touring the area. It was also helpful that Sergio and Stefano both spoke fluent English, too! Our vacation was even better than we had hoped for, we hope to return. Don't miss trying the wine, olive oil and honey they produce on site.
