We absolutely loved this villa! In particular, the owner was wonderful, kind, helpful and had great ideas for traveling in Toscana. The beds and bedding were terrific, the grounds were lovely, the annex was quaint! We had such a fun time gathering there, cooking, eating, talking, making art, eating, tasting wine, drinking beer, eating (did I say eating?). It was a wonderful choice that I'd recommend to anyone.

Il Pergolo apartment of Villa Fabbroni was fantastic for our group of 7 people (2 of which were young children) plus a dog! We loved its beautiful, rural location off the beaten path at the top of a hill. We loved the authentic yet comfortable feel of the restored villa. Each of the 4 bedrooms even had its own bathroom, which was great for getting us all out early enough to tour around (we went to Pisa/Lucca, Greve in Chianti, and Sienna). We dined at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and Sergio's cooking was delicious! We even had the Tues night pizza in the apartment, which was great and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We saw other guests having a cooking class with Sergio and wish we'd had time to do that too...maybe next time! Stefano was very helpful providing maps and info for touring the area. It was also helpful that Sergio and Stefano both spoke fluent English, too! Our vacation was even better than we had hoped for, we hope to return. Don't miss trying the wine, olive oil and honey they produce on site.

Our stay in Certaldo was amazing. The pictures on the site don't do this place justice. Wonderful location and we had everything we needed.

On the first morning the Tuscan sunrise streamed into our room and chided us to awake and take in the magnificient view - it was breathtaking! The rolling hills around the Castle Montegufoni over the course of the week changed glorious autumn colours. Our room, was perfectly comfortable - so much so we almost forgot to leave.
The Castle location enabled very easy jaunts around the Chianti countryside (use a GPS!!)
The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.
Would recommend highly!! (Kristine, Anchorage; Connie, Alberqueque; Karen, Canberra)Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

Casa Ivan above Cortona is the very best place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The family who rents the first floor apartment really cares about your comfort and visit. They make you feel apart of their loving family. We felt spoiled by their kindness. The apartment is fully equiped and the extras that Ivan and Maria provide in a welcoming appetizer, morning coffee and a special dinner is a fabulous experience. The location to visit nearby hill towns is ideal. My husband and I enjoyed our stay here more than other places we have stayed in Italy and other countries. I can not thank the owners enough for an outstanding stay.

This was an absolutely perfect place. Just minutes to Pisa. It was clean and well maintained with upscale details. It was all updated yet it kept in style with it old world charm of Italy's countryside. I would recommend it to everyone.

What a fantastic place to stay. Charming, private, with exceptional views. It was perfect. And, being a quick 10-minute drive to San Gimignano was icing on the cake!

The Casa was a lovely accommodation set in an very charming village. The village had all the things we needed and everyone we met was helpful and friendly. Due to an illness in the family we were unable to get the cooking lessons that were advertised, however the owners were very friendly and thoughtful. We were there in the fall and it was cool enough that we needed to use the heater to take the chill off. This could get expensive if needed throughout the day. The rooms were large and all the amenities needed were there.

We ended up getting a bigger place than that onebut managed by the same person (a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a terrace and panoramic view also). The place was very clean and well equiped. It was a bit cold since we went in late October BUT the heat was included so one the heaters on it was fine. It was very quiet and the bed are very fonfortable. I would defenitly stay there again! Cortona is an adorable town and perfectly located if you want to spend time in the wine region of Montepulciano and Montalcino BUT is more lively in the low season that the other towns. Try the wine bar at the entrance of town and ask for Daniello- he is fantastic and will advice you well on which wine and cheese to taste and buy. =)

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Villa Fabbroni. We rented the Loggia and we had so much space for the 5 of us. All the rooms were very large including the bathrooms. We loved the antique furniture as well . Every evening we enjoyed a beautiful fire with the antique fireplace.
Sergio and Stefano were great hosts not forgetting about their great doggie Oscar.Sergio is a great cook preparing a beautiful meal on the Sat. evening with little notice.
The two negatives are the property is quite remote at the end of a bumpy hilly road and get specific directions to the Villa . It is a little hard to find initially. However with the GPS there shouldn't be any problem . The location is really only about 30 minutes from Florence so we drove into Florence three times in the week.A beautiful setting indeed.R.
