Montescalari is a very nice place. The flat was nice and clean. Its near to Figline Valdarno and Greve. There you have a lot of supermarkets. It is a good place to start your visit to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano.
Our children liked the pool, the little see, the table tennis....Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Montecalvo! The house is cute and the owner was very friendly and helpful! My boyfriend and me were there for one week. What we really liked is that the house is surrounded by a garden and 3 terraces to relax. Roccastrada is a nice and quiet little village where it is possible to purchase the standard requirements like food, cosmetics and cleaning stuff in a small supermarket.

Le Pergole is simply idyllic. Just outside the ancient city of Volterra with stunning views, a peaceful setting and a 12m private pool (steady 82F during the day).
The owner, Andrea, is the nicest person you could wish to meet.
Have been twice, will go again if not fully booked!Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes

The perfect place to relax and enjoy the pool and the view or the perfect home base to see Lucca, Barga Torre del Lago and Florence and Pisa. The town of Castelnuovo de Garfagnana was a wonderful place top eat dinner and to stroll around the streets near the Fortress.

The villa was absolutely lovely, mainly for its privacy, space and amazing large private terrace. A car is absolutely necessary as the villa is way out in the country. Nearest village for groceries being about 2 kilometers away. The villa and complex was better than described. The pool was cleaned regularly, bar situated at poolside (not expensive). Temperature ideal. Lots of wardrobe and draw space. The only thing which was missing was a full length mirror (perhaps a woman thing) but I'm sure if I had asked for one they would have brought me one. Also perhaps a brighter light would have been good when putting make-up on in the evening when the daylight is going. Most definitely recommend property.

This is a simply lovely place to stay, particularly if you've got kids. It is a family-run establishment, run by Marina and Francesco, who could not be more welcoming. Marina teaches Tuscan cooking for a living and part of the experience is the offer of a Tuscan cookery course, followed by a traditional Italian evening meal with the family!
The facilities are lovely and homely apartments, each with a private area. There are all the cooking implements, plates, dishes, tools you could wish for. Bedrooms are good sixe and in our apartment there was choice of 2 showers. There is a simply lovely communal swimming pool sunk into the middle of a large grassy area which is lovely to sit at and perfect for keeping an eye on the kids. We couldn't improve on the experience if we tried! Thanks you, so much, Marina and Francesco (and your kids) for a simply perfect experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone!Would you recommend this property to a friend? Fantastic holiday. Bibbiano exceeded our expectations. Great spot on its own in a secluded walled garden next to the main vineyard farm house with wonderful views. The directions were spot on and it took only 10 minutes from the Autostrada. Guilia in the vineyard office was there to welcome us, along with a couple of bottles of the house Chianti and helpful in every respect. No problem accessing the property with a normal car. The pool was huge with lots of shade. Italy does suffer from wasps at this time of the year. There are 2 friendly hounds at the property (we like very big dogs).
The house was generally very well equipped and the air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms a real blessing. Very spacious and characterful. Unfortunately it took 5 days for any of us to work out how the oven works. So we took to bbqing in the open ingelnook. A couple of the rooms were very dark at night. A few more lamps would have been appreciated. For a house with a great pool its a pity there were no plastic cups.
There was a DVD player and Sky, however no internet access.
The location was perfect for central Tuscany with a score of major attractions in very close proximity. Monteriggione was a real gem and only 10 minutes away. The supermarket (Coop) is also just 10 minutes away, however shopping in the local markets is also easy.
We drove down fom Milan which took 4 hours. Generally very good road, Autostrada all the way. Beware of the suicidal drivers !!
Overall close to perfect !! Trevor, Wiltshire
