There’s no lifts so attempt this only if you are in able health. While you’re in this part of Florence, why not pop into the adjacent Museo dell'Opera del Duomo where you can admire large close-up photos of the many statues that stand in alcoves on the façade of the cathedral. These are statues commemorating great Tuscan and Italian Renaissance masters like Dante Alighieri, Giorgio Vasari and many more who left stunning masterpieces in their wake.
