“Saldi”, or winter sales (literally just “sales”) start in January in Italy and are the time of year when things get their prices slashed. This is the time to head to Florence for your shopping but be aware that things can be competitive – both in the competition of sales between stores and the battle to get their hands of the best bargains between customers – so you may run into the odd frenzied shopping experience. The best way to take it is at your own paces, in between wandering the beautiful cobbled streets, grabbing coffee, visiting attractions and finding great places to eat.
