Here are some more of those well-loved rentals.

3. Palazzo Rosadi

Palazzo Rosadi is an actual palace, a beautifully restored historical manor house dating from 1785 with six bedrooms, a pool, extensive and lovely gardens and stunning views over the surrounding landscape.

There are also a whole range of extra services and facilities such as mountain bikes, a barbecue area, table tennis, satellite TV, baby cots, high chairs, WI-FI and the possibility to arrange breakfast, dinner, and cooking lessons with a chef, maid services, babysitting, car/van hire, English-speaking guides, a wine tour with English-speaking driver and van (all day, 2 wine tastings plus lunch in a typical restaurant), transfers to and from the airport and hot air ballooning. Carol H from Englewood in the US had this to say: “Our group of 5 couples used Palazzo Rosadi for our recent week in Tuscany. Difficult to add more glowing words about this property than have already been posted on this website. If you have a fairly large group of people traveling together, this villa is an excellent choice. The owner, Rosadi and his parents could NOT have been more gracious and helpful during our stay at this historic villa. The location is out in the beautiful Tuscan countryside near the Umbrian border. The charming village of Monterchi is only 5-7 minutes away, where you will find a small supermarket that has everything you might need for your stay at the villa.
Spuntone
The kitchen is equipped nicely with everything you need to prepare lovely dinners...Overall, Palazzo Rosadi exceeded our expectations on many levels. First time in Tuscany and Italy, but do hope it won't be our last......”

4. Spuntone

Spuntone, meanwhile, is certainly more humble in comparison to Palazzo Rosadi, but no less charming. It is a 4 bed, 3 bath classic stone farmhouse situated on the edge of the historic town of Montalcino, home of the famous "Brunello" wine. Located in a splendid and peaceful spot with a beautiful view of Montalcino and the surrounding countryside, it boasts a lovely renovated interior that has been carefully furnished, mostly with antique pieces, and a private pool. Barbara N from Daniel Island in the US describes the villa thusly: “A beautiful and spacious home! Outside the walls of Montalcino, yet an easy walk into town. Red geraniums and Cherry trees, Cypress and fragrant Jasmine. A covered patio to enjoy meals outside. An unusually large yard with views of the church steeples in town. A pool, that was so refreshing after site seeing all day. Very private and very comfortable. A treasure! We had a wonderful week in Spuntone.”
