Adventure Awaits Amongst The Trees At The Adventure Park Il Giardino Sospeso

The province of Livorno is full of things to see and do as it combines all of the charms of Tuscany with the bonus of being by the coast. If you have found a vacation rental in Livorno you won’t be short of things to fill your days with, that’s for sure! However, if you’re looking for a bit of adventure and, perhaps, something a little bit different then we suggest heading to the Adventure Park Il Giardino Sospeso (Parco Avventura Il Giardino Sospeso) in the municipality of Riparbella. This “suspended garden” is a special adventure park made up of fixed and suspended paths set in the air between the trees of the forest in Riparbella.

These fixed and suspended paths and trails include Tibetan bridges, wooden walkways, climbing nets and wooden planks suspended on ropes on which you need to balance. There are several routes of various levels of difficulty so that there is something to offer for both children and adults. These routes include the four Baby Trails from 90 to 110cm in height and Child Trails from 110 to 140cm in height and the four Adult Routes, which are above 140cm in height. Additionally, these trails are also divided by length and by difficulty from the easiest routes (the routes marked green) to the medium difficulty routes (routes marked blue) to the medium high difficulty (marked violet) and, finally, to the high difficulty routes (marked red).
All of the trails and courses are carried out in controlled, very safe conditions with all visitors equipped with harnesses, lanyards with carabiners, pulleys, and helmets before setting out on the trails and plenty of staff members on hand to monitor and help those using them. The Adventure Park is also equipped with the Coudou Pro continuous lifeline system from Kong, making impossible to have both snap hooks released at the same, which guarantees 100% safety. Furthermore, before you ever begin, the instructors will give all visitors a safety briefing to ensure that you enjoy the experience to the max and completely safely too.

While the trails through the trees are the main attraction and the attraction for which the park is actually named, there are several other activities to try out in the park. You can try your hand at archery with the skilled instructors who will explain the shooting techniques and help you improve during your sessions. You can also rent mountain bikes for just €3.50 for an hour and €13 for a whole day to go and explore the forest from the ground rather than the trees and have a different kind of adventure.
Additionally, there are various other experiences on offer like climbing up climbing wall grips that have been embedded in trees, guided treks through the woods with an expert guide (during which you will track animals, find fossil remains, learn how to make moulds of animal footprints, and get up close and personal with the beautiful natural surroundings of this lovely part of the world), orienteering adventures that teach you how to use compasses and topographic maps, and special large-scale treasure hunts in teams. Finally, for the very wee ones in the group, they can go on a magical adventure by following along a path in the woods with a Gnome or the Fairy Filla, who will lead them in search of dens and traces of animals in the forest.

If you are coming for the day, you will be glad to know that there is a picnic area equipped with benches, a barbecue, a children’s area, and toilets. So, if you are looking to get out and explore a slice of the Tuscan countryside and spend a day playing outside with your family, this wonderful adventure park is just the thing! Just find your perfect holiday rental in Livorno and come discover the natural beauty and bounty of Tuscany!
