Our best and most impressive luxury villas in Tuscany all share a few characteristics: they tend to have private pools, boast amazing surroundings and views, be set within plush and well-manicured grounds, and have interiors that look like something from a movie set or a decor magazine. Camporempoli, in particular, has all of these things in spades. Impossibly dreamy, this is exactly the kind of property among our Tuscany Villas that people might conjure when imagining a vacation in this part of the world. So, if you’re after the proper Tuscan getaway fantasy then read on and discover more about this remarkable gem...

Full of character and charm, Camporempoli is an unforgettable Tuscan villa with buckets of style, set in the fertile green hills and vineyards of Chianti. Located 3km (2 miles) from Lucarelli and only 16km (10 miles) from Greve In Chianti, the house can sleep up to ten guests comfortably in six bedrooms with five bathrooms.

From the moment one approaches Camporempoli, it immediately impresses with its leafy garden full of mature trees and lush plants and flowers, the pretty stone villa covered in vines, the green wooden shutters on the windows, the terracotta roof, and the elegant garden. In this garden, perched in a spot overlooking those rolling green hills, pastures, and forests below, there is a private infinity swimming pool for the exclusive use of the guests with a large shallow section ideal for children to swim in. There is also a lovely stone patio surrounding the pool that is accented by deck chairs and a parasol for lounging about between swims or to keep an eye on kids in the water or for simply working on your tan or hanging around outside in some shade – whatever way you want to enjoy lazy days hanging out by the pool on your vacation in Tuscany!

In the garden there are also lots of little dining areas for meals al fresco as well as little chairs and tables tucked throughout for hiding away with a coffee or a good book or both and taking things easy. Framed by those leafy trees and lush plants and with dappled light dancing between the leaves or boasting those same views admired from the pool, these little areas are all idyllic places to relax, share meals, have long chats over a glass of wine, and generally sit back and smell the roses (literally, if you wish).

Inside, the villa continues to charm and delight with its impressive original features paired with the delicate touch and impeccable finish that can be found all throughout the house. Expect gorgeous old exposed beams in the ceiling, lovely brick arches leading from one space to the next, a massive old fireplace in the living room, a tower bedroom really maximising on the setting of this gem and affording some rather impressive panoramic views, and a charming and welcoming large country kitchen.

These features are only complemented and heightened by the tasteful but comfortable decoration of the interior. Expect plush sofas that one can sink into, bookcases stuffed with tomes, a masterful mixture of antique and vintage and more modern furnishings, charming works of art and little home accessories dotted throughout, welcoming bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, and lots of inviting little lamps casting a warm glow. Maximising its historic charm but maintaining a comfortable and inviting atmosphere by mixing more formal furnishings with more relaxed pieces, this is a perfect example of a brilliantly preserved and executed country villa in Tuscany.

On the ground floor, one finds the aforementioned wonderful country kitchen, which is equipped with a dining table for eight, a fridge-freezer, a toaster, an oven with stove top, a microwave, a dishwasher, and both an Italian and American-style coffee machine. Additionally, there is a separate little utility room with a washing machine and iron and a separate dining room with a table that can seat up to twelve, for more formal dining. The living room with the big old fireplace is also on this floor and is a relaxing and welcoming space where up to twelve can be accommodated at once. Finally, the first of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and is an en suite room with twin beds.

The first floor, meanwhile, has a small living room with a television that can accommodate three, three bathrooms (two of which have luxurious bathtubs), and the rest of the bedrooms. The master bedroom is en suite and there is a room with twin beds, a double room, and two bedrooms with French/day beds. One of these bedrooms with a day bed is actually the “tower” bedroom with the amazing views and is actually accessed via a narrow “ladder” staircase from the first floor, rather than being located on this floor itself.

Please note that there is an unpaved lane to the property that is around 1km in length up to the villa and those driving up this road should do so with caution, ideally renting a car more suited to less well-paved roads. There is also a separate house on the grounds to the rear of the property that is home to the housekeeper who changes the linens, maintains the garden, does cleaning between guests inside the house, and keeps the pool clean. A resident cat can also be sometimes spotted in the garden.

So, if you’re looking for a properly magic getaway in a villa in Tuscany that is absolutely full of character and style then look no further than the incredible Camporempoli!
