Marsiliana village is part of the municipality of Manciano which lies in the heart of the Maremma area of Tuscany. Despite its small size, Marsiliana has been quite a popular tourist attraction because of its welcoming charm and interesting ancient monuments.

It was the site of a major archaeological discovery in 1908. An extensive collection of Etruscan tombs were unearthed and provided historical experts with a wealth of information about this once thriving civilisation and their burial customs.

Named the Necropolis of Banditella, visitors today can see some of them which are essentially graves surrounded by stone circles.
