New Review Submitted for Casa Turchesa located in Greve In Chianti, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 11th of June 2011.
Renter Rating: 4/5.
Review Details:
Pros: The villa was a great retreat on the outskirts of town. We truly enjoyed ourselves in the lovely town of Greve. A short walk into town will bring you to all the shops and restaurants that you will need. I would definitely stay here again. We loved the wine, food, and the people of Greve.
Cons: It is worth noting that the hill up to the villa is of considerable ascent for those of you that have mobility issues. I would estimate a range of about 20 - 40 degrees of uphill grade for the entire trip to the villa. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us, but it is worth noting for the walks into town and back. Another note is that the washing machine and the dryer are rather small. We only had two couples and we felt like we were doing laundry everyday. Lastly, the only disappointment that we had was that some of the amenities are at the main office only. For example, the Internet connection. Unlike the listing, there is no Internet connection at the villa. It is at the main office. All business, check-in, check-out, internet usage, etc. needed to be completed at the main office, which is all the way across town and it operates on Italy time, so it is not always open. We are tech savvy, so to complete our daily vacation blog, we had to make time to venture over to the office to get online and this was one of our few requirements and largest disappointment with the villa. We felt mislead despite emails confirming the availability of an internet connection.
Like I said, I would definitely stay here again, but I would know going in that there is no Internet at the Villa.

Would have been excellent had there been lockable doors to the bath rooms. Location and owners could not have been better. Overall we were thrilled with the apartment.

New Review Submitted for Casa Di Vignolo located in Pergine Valdarno, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 11th of February 2012.
Renter Rating: 4/5.
Review Details:
Europe had severely cold weather this February and Italy was no exception. When I booked a villa through EasyReserve in Tuscany, the overall experience was great. They were responsive and when necessary, made a personal contact to remedy the situation. Due to the severe cold, the original villa I booked was not accessible because of icy road. EasyReserve rep called me personally after sending an email and asked whether I wanted to change the villa which I did.

After an overnight flight from the States and driving an hour after renting a car from the Florence airport, when we arrived at the Casa de Vignolo, the 12th century stone house was ice cold. The boiler was off and it felt like walking into a freezer. My husband and I wanted to get some nap after the long trip but it was impossible since the sheet felt like a sheet of ice. Later during our 8 days of stay, the boiler went off twice due to wind/or whatever other reasons so I don’t think it was intentional. The owners of the house were friendly and they tried to help in any way possible. When we tried to get some firewood, Francesco was kind enough to call the gas station and have the logs delivered to our place.

We did have a great time despite the cold weather. A word of advice – if you are staying in Casa de Vignolo, make sure you visit Arezzo which is the closest bit town with lots of history/sites and wonderful restaurants. Also Space Prada (Prada outlet) is in less than 10 miles from the place in Montevarchi which is practically next town.

New Review Submitted for Villa Contea located in Rassina, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Tuesday 24th of January 2012.
Renter Rating: 4/5.
Review Details:
Nice spacious house, very conveniently located, with a nice pizziria next door and a supermarket across the street. The biggest problem was the communication with the owner, who lives in the same court in the adjacent building. She was very friendly but speaks absolutely no word of English or any other language than Italian, nor did she know anyone who spoke a little English. The internet didn't work and I couldn't figure it out by myself. The only TV in the living room didn't work either. The water heater was probably not big enough so that the water went cold after 2 people took shower. All these problems might be fixed but because of the language problem we had during the check-in, we didn't even bother to ask. The two fireplaces were very nice and helpful, and the owner kindly provided the wood free of charge. The gas for heating could be costly, as we paid in the end 260 Euros for 4 days. Overall a nice property with some small problems.

New Review Submitted for Antico Casale Frosini: Anita located in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy.

Very nice owners. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It made all the difference!
We had a wonderful stay in January 2012. It was a little hard to find at first as it's a 5 minute walk from the main street. The owners speak French and Italian but very little English. That wasn't a problem for us. They were more than helpful with all of our needs. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The villa is rustic, clean, comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped but could use things like a pairing knife, bread knife, cutting board, paper towels, those are a few things that I remember were missing. Otherwise, they supplied Olive oil, salt, pepper, etc. which was very nice. We did not use the grounds as it was cold outside. Over all, we would recommend this villa for the experience of meeting these wonderful owners and the tranquility it offers. The town of Arezzo has the nicest people!
