New Review Submitted for Villa Gallo Nero located in Lecchi, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 25th of June 2011.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
Villa Del Gallo Nero was ideal for our party of 8 celebrating an important birthday. The choice of rooms and levels meant we could all find space to read or relax quietly, whilst the main rooms and outside terrace are spacious enough to accommodate us all comfortably. Future guests need to bear in mind that the 2 first floor bedrooms are adjoined and one is only accessible through the other.
The villa is fairly remote and the views from the first floor lounge are stunning. The nearest bar and restaurant are not within easy walking distance but the terrace provides a perfect spot for barbequeing and evening drinks.
On our first night we had booked Chef Matisse (www.chiantichef.com) to cook for us at the villa. This was an excellent decision after a days travelling, and he provided us with sumptuous Tuscan fare, sparkling conversation and was a fabulous host for our first night.
Guests should also ensure they visit Daniela Bencini's vineyard (directly opposite the villa) for winetasting and warm hospitality. The crisp, white Mattutino is especially welcome after a days sightseeing!
One evening we visited the Barone Ricasoli Vineyard and sampled the tasting menu in the forest outside the castle. (Osteria de castello at Brolio) The food and the wine which accompanied it was amazing - quite an experience!
Finally all visitors must eat at least one meal at Marlboghetto in Lecchi. Simone is a fantastic host and the food is incredible. It was a great way to end our holiday! Lynn J.- North Shropshire, UK.

New Review Submitted for Torre Del Cielo located in Monterchi, Tuscany, Italy.

Great property in an amazing location! This property has everything you can hope for but is missing some of the small details that could make it truly spectacular. The BBQ is in need of replacement and for a group of 7 or more is stretched to its limit with space to cook. The living room and side living room need to be combined with furniture, if I am travelling with 6 other friends chances are we want to be together in the same room, we had to move the furniture ourselves to make it work. We were charged for internet, yet that is not listed anywhere other than saying that internet is available. Even though we had written twice as requested to let them know about the bed setup, it was still not setup as requested (we asked for all beds to be setup as doubles but had 3 doubles setup, one room as twins and the tower room not setup at all, what was the point of asking us in the first place?).

This property has all that you could ask for and the above concerns are knitpicking, but if you are going to be one of the best properties and attract more business the details should be dealt with prior to arrival and the little issues of setup should be not a concern to the renter. Dont hesitate to rent this spot, just ask lots of questions and get confirmation that the details you requested are met. There is also a disconnect between the owner and Easy Reserve with respect to the wine tastings and trips. We were given a list of wineries that we could choose from, however we were sent to another winery of the owners recommendation which to be honest was just ok, why the lack of communication, Easy Reserve should have sent the wine tasting request to the owner so that he could give us the directions as needed. The full day tour of the Tiber valley is just a couple of hours actually as we were picked up at 9am and dropped off around 12:30, details again, but be honest on what you are delivering so that no one is disappointed, it was a great tour, but not a full day as advertised.

Toller Urlaub

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Great holiday. Also from were we live the journey is a long one (1100km) but we knew that in advance.
The accommodation was basic but good, the pool (20 x 6 m), a lonely peak, a dream for the children and the people very friendly. Unfortunately, we only speak so little Italian so we have mostly cominicated with our hands and feet - but everything ran smoothly and to our complete satisfaction.
The landlords were very friendly even to our two dogs
Short: Simple, but clean and good - happy to go there again.

New Review Submitted for Compignano West located in Massarosa, Tuscany, Italy.

Review Details:
We rate the property very highly. The building is spacious, bright and very comfortable. We were a party of 7 (planned to be a party of 8) and were delighted with the roominess. The furnishings inside are attractive and comfortable. The four bedrooms are bright and offer plenty of privacy from the rest of the villa. There are four roomy bathrooms, finished in light marble, bright, clean and modern. The ceramic tiles and marble on the floors are beautiful. Our party included 2 children, ages 3 and 4, who very much enjoyed the space for toys and playing. The kitchen is well-equipped, bright and modern, and there is an ample supply of attractive flatware, glasses and china.

The setting for the villa, on a forested hillside, is perfect. The veranda facing the valley, the hills opposite, and the sunset is the
strategic feature and social centre of the villa. The view is so spectacular, day and night that it is difficult not to spend all your time in admiration of it. The grounds of the property are beautiful and well maintained with an interesting variety of trees and other vegetation. The swimming pool area is immaculate and sheltered.
I must also mention the property management team who looked after the cleaning, maintenance and operation of the facility. Without exception they are charming, efficient and helpful, and set a high standard for hospitality.
