We loved staying at Casal Gheriglio! Claudia was a fantastic hostess and pays attention to every detail from the lavender sachet on the towels to being greeted with a freshly baked fruit crostata to the party gifts of biscotti and Tuscan honey upon departure. The apartment we stayed in made us feel like locals and was well equipped for cooking if you choose to take advantage of the wonderful and Tuscan meats, cheeses and produce. Claudia provides additional options such as daaily freshly baked bread and Tuscan dinners. From our front porch we were surrounded by fruit trees dripping with pears, cherries and citrus, roses and herbs. The property is situated between Florence and Rome, close to Sienna and well situated to see most of Tuscany. It is also convenient to the highways in the event you need to get somewhere quickly instead of meandering through the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Casal Gheriglio is just outside the walls of the hill town of Lucignano which has excellent restaurants. Montapulciano with its excellent wines is just a bit further south. I would highly recommend Casal Gheriglio for your stay in Tuscany.

We had a great time as a family (14 persons. It is ideally located for visiting interesting cities, the mountains and the typical Tuscany landscape. The villa itself is spacious , comfortable, up to nowadays standards; really a place to relax and feel at home.

A very comfortable and spotlessly clean, well equipped, spacious apartment in a beautiful rural location; very well managed by a friendly staff. An authentic, traditional villa -- a very special place.

This is an excellent villa in the perfect location. Very homely with a wonderful garden and pool. We felt very relaxed and at home here. Our 19th month old loved running around the garden and splashing in the pool and was overjoyed to see tractors in the surrounding fields on a daily basis! Would recommend to anyone.

Notre séjour à Montescalari a été fabuleux ! Le propriétaire a été charmant, accueillant et discret. Le domaine est immense, planté au milieu des vignes et des oliviers, il y a beaucoup d'espace entre les maisons. les jardins sont romantiques, arrangés avec tant de goût, il y a des fleurs partout (ça embaume le jasmin et les roses !). Le décors est paradisiaque, le coin piscine incroyable et seuls les hirondelles viennent briser le silence ! Montescalari est un endroit de rêve et rare...
