New Review Submitted for Palazzo Rosadi located in Monterchi, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 30th of May 2009.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
My family stayed at Palazzo Rosadi in the very early summer. The location was ideal for touring in the Tuscany region. It is about 18 miles east of Arezzo, which is on the main north/south train line with frequent trains to Florence. The main north/south motorway also runs just west of Arezzo. We took the train to Arezzo and then rented two small cars (very large family) at the Avis facility right across the street from the train station.

The villa is lovely. It is very old but has had major renovation work done to put in bathrooms and new electric. Signor Rosadi, the owner, was delightful, helpful and a pleasure to work with. The villa has been in his family for almost two hundred years. It is well-maintained, spacious and quaint. It sits on the side of a hill and the views across into Umbria are fantastic.

We really liked the small village of Monterchi through which you have to travel going and coming from the villa. There is a very friendly osteria in town with excellent food. There are good cooking facilities in the villa and we cooked large, family style meals on a number of evenings. Arezzo has a very good supermarket about a block or two east of the train station. Good meat and cheese selection as well as fresh pasta. For produce, use the greengrocer along the road leading to Monterchi. Excellent produce, especially the tomatoes. Monterchi has a very friendly supermarket of its own but the selection is somewhat limited.

We had a great time. I heartily recommend Palazzo Rosadi if you are looking for a flexible, out-in-the-country experience.

New Review Submitted for La Mirandola: La Mirandola 865.2 located in Monteriggioni, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 30th of May 2009.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
La Mirandola was an absolute delight! The best of old and new - traditional old Tuscan farmhouse in beautiful Chianti, completely remodelled inside. Charming, tasteful, neat and clean inside; beautiful patio, pool, and grounds outside. In the heart of the Chianti region. The host family could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and helpful. This is a place we would gladly return to and recommend to friends.

EasyReserve, as the name implies, was an easy, effective way to select and reserve a villa. Great web site; accurate info and photos, and directions. We are two very happy travellers.

New Review Submitted for Villa Agostino: Galileo located in Brenna, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Monday 25th of May 2009.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
We stay in the Galileo unit and the unit was as magnificent as the pictures. Very modern and brand new. There were two bedrooms, one of the bedrooms had a man-made chimney which causes the room to be cold at night. However, there was a central heater to warm up the place. There was a back and front yard which were pleasant at night but can get very hot during the day (we were there in early June). The property is located in a quiet area in Brenna that is friendly to cyclist and runners; bikes are available at the property for no charge. Brenna is approximately 15 minutes from Sienna, one hour from Florence and 2 hours from Pisa; very convenient for day trips. There are two huge supermarkets (Penny, forgot the other name) in Sienna for shopping that are open late There is also a restaurant right across the property, just in case you don't want to cook. Linens and towels are provided and there is a washing machine for cleaning. The person who looks after the house is conveniently located a few blocks away from the place. Although she speaks very little english, she is extremely friendly and made our stay very comfortable. The one drawback for me was the bugs/critters. I did expect mosquitoes and flies since it felt to me like being in the country, but I was surprise to see scorpions. We made them part of our adventure and learn a bit about them. Truly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again my next time in Italy.

New Review Submitted for Torre Del Cielo located in Monterchi, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Sunday 24th of May 2009.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
We stayed at Torre del Cielo for a week starting May 24, 2009. The location was excellent. We stayed in a small village with a great view of the countryside. We visited Assisi , Cortona , Florence , Lucca , Gubbia , Chianti Country and several smaller communities. Our host Rosaldi was extremely helpful. He gave us several suggestions for interesting midevil towns to explore. He also took us on a private tour of a monastery where Francis of Assisi stayed. It was remarkable the information we received on Francis life. The house had 5 large bedrooms , each with a private bath. Even though the property was old the condition of the rooms was clean and very attractive. The large pool was clean and we went swimming several times. There was an economical market in the small town near us where the owner greeted us with hugs and kisses. We made several meals in the fully furnished kitchen. The living room was great. There were 3 table areas that each accommodated all 8 of us. We ate mostly outside of the kitchen in the garden area. He has a beautiful rose garden. We also ate inside and at the pool area. My favorite thing to do was to watch the sun rise from atop the watch tower. Our host meet us at the nearest town to show us the villas location. He was always available to help us in any way. We had neighbors but none very close and they were friendly. It was the perfect location to see both Umbria and Tuscany. There is a washing machine but no dryer. You dry the clothes on a drying rack. Be warned that leaving clothes out in the direct sunlight can cause discoloration. In the shde the drying rack works fine. The only criticism might be the beds (which one couple thought was too hard-the others had no concerns) and the rooster in the morning. All of this made it better for us. We could not have picked a better vacation spot or better host.
