Good 3 /5We loved this old villa with its swimming pool, large rooms and so much character. However, it is noisy. There is a railway line which runs at the bottom of the garden and a mens' hostel a few meters away with lots of noisy activity especially in the evenings. We were there in June so tractors and trailers were thundering past the villa and garden throughout the day. The gardener who came every morning was keen to cut and strim the grass at 8am. It is NOT within walking distance of the town which was delightful, so you will need a car. We drove from the UK so we had all the household and kitchen items we needed. In the kitchen was only 2 dishwasher tablets, a bottle of water and a bottle of Prosecco, that's it! So be prepared to bring with you or buy salt, pepper, oil, herbs, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and laundry supplies etc. The tennis court and the table tennis table were old and seen better days, old rackets and some balls were provided. There are no mosquito nets on the windows or doors.
