Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.

At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). The Experience
Magrini is a pretty stone-built farmhouse part of a renowned wine and olive oil estate in Lucca. The house is situated in a very quiet position at the border of the estate, a few hundred metres from the borgo and it is walking distance to the pretty village of San Gennaro through a country path perfect for guests who would like to stay at a property walking distance from a restaurant. The English-speaking management is available for assistance and can arrange guided tours in the surrounding areas. Cooking services can be organised at extra cost. Guests staying at the property will be able to enjoy a complimentary wine and olive tasting produced by the estate. It is also possible to buy white and red D.O.C. wines and extra-virgin olive oil, among the best in the Lucca area.
Please note that Magrini is close to another property that in no way interferes with the privacy of the house but we do not suggest this home to travelers looking to be completely secluded.
