Win a week in Tuscany!

It was a day, not really in sync what we had in mind when we planned our vacation in Tuscany. It was a cold, damp, windy, rainy May morning, when we crawled out of our refuge Il Giuncheto just above Castelfranco di Sopra. So, apparently, major sightseeing was not an option, but we still wanted to do something. To see something. To experience something. Remember? Tuscany? Or the way I prefer it. Toscana, because it sounds so much nicer... So, Toscana? And Chianti? What else were we to do than to hop in the van and attack the very heart of Chianti region, Greve in Chianti. Rain and wind totally destroyed our wishes to see more of the city than the triangular main square and in the middle of drizzle words Le Cantine managed to catch our attention. Well, what else is there to say. You just have to experience the welcoming sensations of all the years hidden in old stone walls, the beauty of all the bottles displayed, the tastes this place can offer, the richness of Chianti. All of the outside drizzle and coldness and humidity just vanished. We have entered another world. A totally different one. We have entered true Toscana.
So what we eventually learned from this story? The sun always shines in Toscana. Sometimes you just have to look somewhere else, not in the sky. But it's always there.
