The villa takes its name from "La Peglia", a word from the local Aretine dialect meaning the chestnut burr—the spiny shell that protects the nut and carpets the forest floor in autumn. It’s a name that speaks of roots, nature, and a deep connection to the land, surrounded by chestnut groves, silence, and seasons that still leave their mark.
La Peglia used to be the home of Lucio and Gemma, who have lovingly transformed it into a welcoming retreat for travelers seeking a quieter, more authentic side of Tuscany—rich in beauty, warmth, and meaning.

Interior Description

Entirely fenced, entrance by automated gate.

Ground floor:
Entrance into the kitchen and dining room (fully equipped kitchen with all basic supplies); bedroom with bathroom and laundry room.
First floor:
Large sitting room with TV (streaming tv), pool table, piano and piano bar - access to the pool area with changing room, outdoor shower and piano bar.
Night area with a double room with toilet en-suite; twins' room; full bathroom; studio.
Second floor:
Attic with double bed and bathroom, little kitchen corner and sitting area.

Patio with outdoor table, terrace on the first floor. Surrounded by nature with wonderful views.
Two portable AC machines: the villa is at about 540 mt above sea level so always very fresh, breezy and protected by the shade of lots of trees even during summer heat waves. The villa has thick walls, to ensure always a cool indoor temperature.

Useful Information: We kindly ask that you do not feed the cats or let them inside the house!
The property is located in the countryside, in a peaceful natural setting. Occasionally, some cats from neighboring homes may wander near the house or garden. They are friendly and not a problem, but we kindly inform you in case you have allergies or prefer to avoid them.
