Ancient convent dating back to the 17th century which was turned over the years into an oil mill and later in a large farming estate. Presently this property offers 10 nice apartments all of which recently and carefully restored and furnished in a typical Tuscan style. This house is quietly situated on a 4-hectare estate with woods and olive groves and enjoys beautiful extensive views over the surrounding landscape.
Distances: bus stop 200 m away, the medieval town of Colle Val D’Elsa only 1 km away, tennis court and golf course (6 holes) 3 km, San Gimignano 11 km away, Siena 31 km, Florence (airport) 57 km away. The coastline area with beautiful large beaches is 74 km away.
At the guests disposal: large well-kept garden with swimming-pool (7 x 14 m – depth 1,5 m – open from 15/05 to 30/09), open-air shower (cold water), dress-room with toilet, barbecue. Reception open from 10.00 to 12.00 am and from 4.00 to 6.00 pm). All of the apartments are provided with mosquito nets. Free WI-FI internet connection available. Parking within the grounds.

Located in the Province of Siena,Colle di Val d’Elsa is a pretty medieval town that is not far from the historic via Francigena and was, therefore, a pit-stop for travellers and pilgrims for centuries. It continues to be the Italian capital of crystal and, as such, has been nicknamed the “Bohemia of Italy.” In fact, Colle di Val d’Elsa accounts for 95% of all Italian crystal glass production and 14% of the global production of crystal, which is an incredible feat.

Due to this scale and the economic importance of the craft in the town, it remains central to life for locals, with the first Sunday of each month playing host to a crystal market in town and open-air demonstrations of glass-making (from around 3pm) in the historical centre of the city on Via della Misericordia.
