Agriturismo Flora is situated in the wooded hills of the upper Casentino valley, perhaps the greenest and freshest valley in Tuscany. You will be literally bewitched by the spirituality conveyed by the ancient castles and monasteries scattered throughout, amidst secular forests and high hills. The closest to the Agriturismo and definitely worth a day's visit is the Sanctuary of La Verna, one of the best known places in Christianity, inextricably linked to the story of St Francis of Assisi.
The cities of Arezzo and Florence are both just over an hour's drive away.
The old stone farmhouse offers hospitality in four apartments, and stands on the edge of a small rural village, 750 m above sea level. The apartments are well finished and tastefully furnished. You can relax in the splendid panoramic swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1.40 m), from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the enchanting landscapes of the valley below. In the multi-level garden, you will find a barbecue and tables for your “al fresco” family dinners, a children's play area and a fenced football field.
If you love trekking and walking, the Casentino valley will be a paradise for you. Fascinating naturalistic itineraries start directly from the house; you can visit the National Park of the Casentino Forests or reach the countless small villages, each with its own characteristics, sometimes perched in the jagged territory of this green valley.
During the months of July and August the typical dinner that the owners offer to the guests once a week, will be an appointment not to be missed, good food and conviviality with the other guests, a beautiful moment to make friends.
