Property Description

Large, welcoming independent villa with private pool situated on the hills surrounding Arezzo. This property is in quiet and panoramic location and allows to spend a relaxing holiday in close contact with nature. The house is furnished in a rustic style and is surrounded by a big furnished garden with a private pool. This villa is on a 7-hectare estate which is partially farmed and partially cultivated with vineyards producing a nice wine (available to be purchased). The nice town of Arezzo (with railway station) is approx. 10 away and the village of Subbiano is in walking distance (approx. 900 m away).
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road of 200 m.
Distances: Subbiano with general stores 900 meters away, Arezzo (railway station with trains for Rome and Florence) 10 km away, Cortona 40 km, Lake Trasimeno 45 km away, Florence (airport) 80 km, Perugia 90 km, Siena approx. 80 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large furnished garden with private swimming-pool (accessible via Roman steps) (6 x 12 m – min. depth 1,4 m – max. depth 2,4 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09) approx. 20 from the house away, large covered terrace ideal for al-fresco dining, barbecue. Laundry with washing-machine and ironing facilities. Fans are provided in all of the bedrooms. Internet connection (WI-FI) available. Covered parking (150 square meters).
Extra Services: Baby bed and high-chair upon request (free of charge). Extra bed: € 150,- per week. Maid service available by arrangement € 10,- / per hour (payment on site). Wine and local handicraft available for clients to be purchased. Chef service for nice Tuscan dinners upon request.
Pets are allowed by paying an extra charge of € 150,- / per week (payment on the spot).

On the arrival day the owners offer their guests a ”welcome snack”.

This quaint country house is definitely off the beaten path, you won't find large highways leading to this property. This recipe is a favorite of mine, and will soon be a favorite of yours. While the dish does take quite a while to cook, much of it is simply letting it simmer for hours and letting the aroma take over your house. This is a meal your family and friends will be begging to enjoy again and again.

Pork Roast - cut into large chunks

5 med. carrots

1 small heart of celery

4 pieces of bacon

1 large onion (yellow or white)

2 tsp. salt

1 tps. pepper

1 carton beef broth

2 cups red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon is recommended)

2 tbsp. olive oil

1 12oz can tomato puree

Arezzo is a splendid town south-east of Florence that has lots of incredible attractions to offer tourists! Arezzo is thought to have been one of the twelve most powerful Etruscan cities in Italy during the reign of this influential civilisation. There are lots of magnificent remains in and around Arezzo just waiting to be explored by you!

Visit the Etruscan necropolis on the nearby ‘Poggio del Sole’, which means ‘hill of the sun’ where two infamous bronze artefacts called the ‘Chimera’ and the ‘Minerva’ were uncovered in the 16th century and transported to Florence to be proudly displayed.
