Beautiful stone farmhouse with its outbuildings dating back to the 19th century situated in quiet and panoramic location in the surroundings of Massa Marittima, a nice ancient town with medieval origins. This property was restored with its original architectural features preserved and turned into 7 welcoming apartments (and 2 bedrooms), all of which furnished in a rustic, Tuscan style. The units named Giacomo 1, 2, 4 and 8 are in the main building (manor house) while Giacomo 5, 6 and 7 are part of the outbuildings.
The outside areas provide a large garden with pool, barbecue and bread oven.
The property also offers large common areas created in the main villa ground floor such as a spacious TV room (satellite TV, DVD, hi-fi), a rustic common room with fireplace and a nice restaurant offering recipes of the local tradition (the restaurant is open only to the property guests).
The coastline area with beautiful beaches is in easy access, approx. 20 km away.
Distances: Massa Marittima with general stores 1 km away, Follonica with nice beaches 18 km, Scarlino with beaches and marina 20 km away, Puntala with beaches, marina and a renowned golf club 30 km away, Siena 70 km, Pisa (airport) 135 km away, Lucca 160 km away.

Massa Marittima is a small town in Southern Tuscany located 50 kilometres from Grosseto. It is a bit of a hidden gem, not well-known to tourists and, therefore, authentic and particularly beautiful. We've previously discussed the small town of Massa Marittima
in Southern Tuscany which is a bit of a hidden gem with gorgeous views due to its hilltop location and a rich cultural heritage. Its historic Etruscan centre and numerous museums, for which it has been nicknamed the “City of Museums” are two of its most distinctive features. However, once you've found a holiday rental in Massa Marittima, you might want to also venture out of the town once you've explored it a little bit. Just a few kilometres away is the beautiful Lake Accesa with its Etruscan Archaeological Park which, like the town, also offers stunning scenery and great historical value that is not to be missed!

Torre Del Candeliere: The Best View Over Massa Marittima

La Torre del Candeliere, or The Candlestick Tower, was erected in 1228 as both a watchtower and a symbol of the independence of the town of Massa Marittima, which had just been liberated from the dominion of a Bishop-Prince at the time. It was originally even taller, but was later greatly altered under Sienese rule in the 14th century, changing their symbol of freedom forever and connecting it to their own Cassero Senese, or Sienese Fort.

To get there is a bit of a trek. Once you leave the Piazza Garibaldi, there is a side street that climbs a very steep hill. At the end of the hill, there is a wall and an archway, which marks your entrance into the Sienese section of the city. This is where the Sienese expanded the city's borders beyond the medieval fort built by the Pisans and this is where you will find the Torre del Candeliere and Sienese Fortress, both part of this newer section of the city.

Auf Wunsch auch Halbpension möglich (aufpreispflichtig). Sehr zu empfehlendes Domizil.
