Property Description

Beautiful, eighteenth-century villa situated in a dominant position on the hills of the Versilia coastline. This property offers amazing views over the surrounding landscape extending to the Tuscan islands and the Cinque Terre in the distance.

The villa has been recently renovated and provides fine interiors furnished with unique pieces, beautiful frescoed walls and comfort of any kind. Outside there is a large, well-groomed, 8000-square-meter garden with fruit trees (tangerine, orange, kiwi and pear trees), fountains and a spacious panoramic terrace with a nice gazebo which is ideal for al-fresco dining. Guests can also enjoy use of a private swimming-pool.

The property consists of a main house and a small apartment (located a few meters away) obtained from the restoration of an ancient mill (the wooden and iron mill machineries are perfectly preserved inside the house).
This small apartment is available upon request (to be requested at reservation).

This rental property is in easy reach of the coastline (approx. 5 km away) and of the seaside resorts of Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi offering nice beaches, excellent restaurants, shopping facilities and nightlife.
The property’s location is also ideal for visiting some of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany such as Pisa, Lucca, Montecatini Terme, Florence and the Cinque Terre region.

Distances: shops of all kinds approx. 2 km away, Pietrasanta 3 km, Camaiore 6 km away, Pisa and Lucca circa 30 km, Montecatini Terme 60 km away, Cinque Terre approx. 60 km, Florence 105 km away.

At guests’ disposal: large, furnished outdoor areas, private swimming-pool (10 x 4 m – depth 1,4 m), billiards, large gazebo ideal for al-fresco dining, barbecue.

For last-minute bookings (within 60 days of arrival) the full amount must be paid at the time of the booking.

In case of cancellation of the booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties apply:
- the initial deposit (25% of total rent) if the cancellation is made between booking time up to 61 days before arrival date;
- 100% of total rental price if the cancellation is made from 60 days to arrival date or in case of no show.

Do you want to stay in a castle? That’s what this magnificent villa feels like. Yes it’s old and sometimes quirky but we absolutely loved it. On Sunday morning I prayed in the chapel before making myself an expresso and enjoying it outside with the most amazing views - all the way to the sea! Other than the pool, this was our favorite and most used space! A huge thanks to Giulia and Alphonso that first day, until we got our rental cars. TIP - don’t count on Uber - and even taxis are scarce. As we celebrated our 50th anniversary with our 3 children and all of our grandkids, we made memories to last a lifetime!

Abbiamo trascorso la settimana di ferragosto con amici presso la Villa Camaiore. La Villa e le sue pertinenze sono incantevoli, un'atmosfera settecentesca con dettagli moderni. I giardini, l'orto e la limonaia bellissimi. Ogni stanza curata nei dettagli e dotata di proprio bagno e salotto. La piscina perfetta. La parte più bella della casa è la magnifica terrazza dove si svolge la vita quotidiana e dove abbiamo fatto colazione, pranzo e cena. Credo che in tutto la Versilia non vi sia una terrazza con un panorama così mozzafiato, che dalle colline arriva fino al mare.
I proprietari sono due persone assolutamente gentili e disponibili, che ci hanno offerto tutta la collaborazione possibile. Un posto magico.

The Villa and its outbuildings are enchanting, an eighteenth-century atmosphere with modern details. The gardens, the vegetable garden and the lemon house are beautiful. Each room with attention to detail and equipped with its own bathroom and lounge. The perfect pool. The most beautiful part of the house is the magnificent terrace where daily life takes place and where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. I believe that in all of Versilia there is not a terrace with such a breathtaking view, which reaches from the hills to the sea.
The owners are two absolutely kind and helpful people, who have offered us all possible collaboration. A magical place.

Overall we were very happy with the accomodation and facilities. The owners and cleaning lady were amenable to our requests regarding some maintenance issues which were promptly fixed. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Internet was only available downstairs and was quite patchy even there.
- [ ] Some minor items that we found missing included a cutting board, mugs for large coffees and a lighter for the cooktop. It would have been nice to have some more kitchen basics such as milk, sugar, tea and coffee on our arrival.
- [ ] We also had some cold evenings and there was no area downstairs where the twelve of us could gather, eat and stay warm
But overall we were happy with our rooms. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were of a good size and the air conditioning worked well upstairs

Die Beschreibungen unserer Vor-Mieter hatten nicht zu viel versprochen: Die Lage, der Garten und die Räumlichkeiten dieser äusserst stilvollen Villa sind als exzellent zu bezeichnen. Mit sehr kleinen Kindern wird man (unseres Empfindens nach...) zu Beginn etwas zu heftig darauf aufmerksam gemacht, was man alles nicht darf bzw. sein lassen sollte.... Ist dann aber angesichts der im Detail sehr liebevoll gepflegten, mit wunderschöner Kunst ausstaffierten Villa irgendwann auch verständlich wird. Die Eigentümer haben viel Herzblut investiert, was man spürt, wenn man in diesem "Kunstobjekt" als Haus ein paar Tage verbringt. Die Eigentümer kümmern sich bei Bedarf auch um die Unterstützung bei "Notfällen" (so uns geschehen, als meine Tochter ihre teure Augen-Kontaktlinse im Waschbecken runterspülte... ein Sanitär-Fachmann war schnell zur Stelle trotz heftigen Regenfällen, die Linse wurde glücklicherweise wieder gefunden). Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Empfehlen können wir allen zukünftigen Gästen noch, in den Herbstmonaten genügend warme Kleidung mitzubringen. Das Haus ist sehr gross und kühlt bei schlechterem Wetter schnell ab.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The descriptions had not promised too much: The location, the garden and the rooms of this extremely stylish villa are to be described as excellent. With very small children at the beginning (according to our feelings...) it was a bit too strongly underlined, on what one should have care of .... but eventually it was understandable given the very lovingly tended and beautifully decorated villa. The owners have invested a lot , which one feels, if one spends a few days in this house. The owners are very helpful also in "emergency cases". We would like to come again! We can recommend to all future guests for the autumn months to bring enough warm clothes. The house is very large and cools quickly with bad weather.

Outstanding location combining rural tranquillity with easy access to both beach and many interesting towns and villages. Wonderful views from the extremely spacious patio complemented by beautiful gardens and a great pool. An equally spacious interior, ensuring that even when full of guests one can still find a bit of peace and quiet if required. Staff, Alfonso and Camilla most helpful in assisting with any requests for information or unforeseen needs.Voted by our group of 7 adults and 8 kids (aged 3 months to 13) as one of the best holidays they have ever had!!

Das Beste am Haus ist die Lage. Von fast jedem Zimmer und der toll ausgestatteten Terrasse hat man einen sensationellen Blick auf die Küstenorte bis hin zum Meer. Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und sehr gepflegt. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön und gut ausgestattet mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Der Pool selbst ist etwas älter aber gut gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet mit antiken Möbeln, Bildern und Dekorationen. Die Bäder sind geschmackvoll, gut ausgestattet und sauber. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist der Küchenbereich, den wir nicht sehr gepflegt vorgefunden haben. Trotzdem war die Ausstattung gut: Großer Kühlschrank, große Töpfe, genug Geschirr, so dass wir für unsere Großfamilie mit 15 Personen gut kochen konnten. Insgesamt waren wir begeistert und sehr zufrieden!
