Charming and pretty, it is a 19th century stone Tuscan farmhouse built around a 17th century tower, set in extensive and beautifully kept grounds. The garden is home to roses, lavender, jasmine, cypresses and olive trees and an elaborate pool area with a gazebo, table, chairs, barbecue and lounge chairs. At additional cost, a heated Jacuzzi can be moved into this area as well for the duration of your stay. Best of all, there are stunning views over the valley towards the lush green Tuscan hills from the property. The house itself is in a traditional Tuscan style that has been maintained throughout its restoration from the terra cotta tiles on the ceiling and floors, to the exposed wooden beams of the ceiling, to the period furniture. However, while the historic character of the property has been preserved it is still imbued with all the modern comforts you might need for a comfortable stay including a coffee machine, WIFI, Satellite Television and air conditioning. Accommodating up to 10 people in 5 rooms, it is available from €184 per night.

2. Damiano
Damiano, meanwhile, is a lovely farmhouse situated high in the hills between Lucca and the Versilian coast and has been one of our most popular houses and for many years. As with Torre del Cielo, the house was restored giving special attention to Tuscan tradition, retaining the original beamed ceilings and using only antique cotto floor tiles, while being well equipped with all modern comforts. A maid service is included with the property and the pretty grounds and pool are well-tended to, leaving you time to enjoy the lovely gardens, wonderful facilities and incredible views at leisure. Accommodating up to 10 people in 5 rooms, it is available from €414 per night.
