This week, we have been looking at some of Florence's best rooftop bars as there is no better way to enjoy her stunning and iconic skyscape than from a cute bar with a great drink in hand. Whether you're finishing off a day in the city or just getting a night started with some aperitifs, the city's rooftop bars make for the perfect places to watch the sunset over the famous buildings, beautiful gardens, historic squares, and wandering tourists and citizens. If you have found your luxury villa in Florence and are now looking for a rooftop bar to visit, read on to the rest of our list of some of our top picks among the places that the city has to offer...
3. La Terraza del Minerva at the Grand Hotel Minerva
Located on the top of the Grand Hotel Minerva, in the heart of Florence, this rooftop terrace bar affords 360-degree views over Florence, the Duomo being especially prominent in the skyline as visible from the bar. The pool area is only open during the day to guests of the hotel but the bar is open to all. Just grab a cocktail or a glass of wine and some bar snacks and watch as the sun sets behind the stunning surrounding buildings.
4. La Terrazza at Hotel Continentale
This sophisticated rooftop bar is perched on the top floor of the medieval Consorti tower at the Hotel Continentale, which overlooks the famous Ponto Vecchio. There are great views over the Arno and Duomo and the terrace is stylish and modern, with a large sofa running along the edge of the space. The drinks menu boasts a large selection of Italian bubbles and wines and they make some excellent signature cocktails. Bear in mind that this is a more luxurious experience with a price tag to match. You can chance just turning up but if you do want to reserve a table, non-guests can only reserve for a maximum of four people at a minimum spend of €200 per table.
5. La Rinascente Rooftop Bar
This rooftop bar is positioned on top of a department store in the centre of the city that offers views over the Duomo. A little more relaxed and peaceful than some of the other options on this list, it is where you can grab a glass of prosecco and a light bite and take in the lovely surroundings.
