Oasi Di Benessere Bio is perched on a hill, 4km from the centre of Sassofortino, a tiny medieval hilltop village with a population of under a thousand, in the comune of Roccastrada, in the province of Grosseto. Boasting sweeping panoramic villas over the surrounding area - the rolling green hills and valleys for which Tuscany is so well-known, vineyards, olive groves, a patchwork of fields, and mountains in the distance – but a location that is just a short drive from nearby conveniences and incredible amenities and facilities, it is the ideal place to get away from it all in style and comfort. Leave the stresses and worries of daily life far behind but not all of civilisation: be able to readily head out and explore the wider region, and have the most stunning base to return to every day at the magical Oasi Di Benessere Bio.

An historic stone building that sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms (with an additional space for two guests offered by a sofa bed in the living room), it was carefully and thoughtfully renovated just this year using organic and reclaimed materials, creating a sustainable and highly energy-efficient building. Oasi di Benessere Bio is also perfectly at one with its surroundings, with ample windows allowing guests to make the most of those remarkable views throughout their stay. The gardens, too, provide a natural and beautiful space in which to relax and chill out, with a swimming pool (also positioned to allow you to admire your surroundings), a charming little natural pond next to it, decking with an outdoor shower, a covered area to sit out by the water, and another covered area by the house with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. A forest is just 50m away and surrounds the property, offering shelter, peace, and a selection of walking paths to explore.

As noted, the house is just 4km away from Sassofortino, where you will find a supermarket, some eateries, a bar, a bakery, and more. The nearest railway station is Giuncarico, 20km away, offering the opportunity to explore Tuscany by train on some days during your trip. You can also readily reach the sea from the house for days at the beach, with the Tuscan Coast 37km away, and the thermal baths of the spa town of Terme di Petriolo 35km away if you’re looking to continue unwinding through nature. Other nearby towns include Roccastrada 13km away, Montemassi 7km away, Grosseto 30km away, and Massa Marittima 30km away. To get the most out of a stay at the villa, a rental car is recommended and do keep in mind that its charmingly secluded location is a little tricky to get to, with an 800m long bumpy road that is narrow and unpaved – for those who might be uncertain drivers, this could be a little daunting.

Inside, the villa boasts modern interiors with incredible sculptural elements such as the glass and metal staircase and bannisters and the built-in minimalist fireplace, married with gorgeous original features of the building including exposed beam ceilings and exposed stone walls in some parts of the house. Elegant and cool light fixtures add pops of colour or visual interest throughout as well as a warm and cosy glow that makes the house feel very welcoming. While largely in a calm and neutral palette of cream hues and natural wood, further pops of colour are added through a pastel blue Smeg fridge, a red chair in a bedroom, a statement wall in a bold shade in various rooms, and other considered touches.
On the ground floor of Oasi di Benessere Bio you will find an open plan layout for the main living spaces including the large, double-height living room (including a sofa bed) with its panoramic windows and unique fireplace, a lovely wooden dining table that seats six in stylish and modern clear plastic chairs, and the charming kitchen (including an oven and stove top, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher, the aforementioned Smeg fridge-freezer, and a beautiful old dresser), as well as a separate double bedroom, and bathroom with a bath and shower. There are also various exits out to the garden and terrace, further bringing the outside into the home and allowing you to readily bring meals outdoors to enjoy in the garden.

Upstairs there is a double room with a dressing room including ample closet space as well an elaborate dressing table with lights and a large window affording breath-taking views of the scenery around the house; another double room with a large window making the most of the gorgeous vista; and a final double bedroom with a desk. A second bathroom with a shower rounds out this floor.
Underfloor heating, air-conditioning, and unlimited, fast WIFI are all available throughout the house and there is also a washing machine and mosquito nets on hand for your comfort and convenience. Furthermore, there is parking on the grounds as well as an E-charging station. Do note that due to the steep stairs and large windows that can be opened in the house, it is not recommended for small children.
With availability throughout the fall (a great time to visit and make the most of the harvest bounty and the beautiful colours of the landscape during the season) as well as dates available next summer (though Oasi di Benessere Bio is already being snapped up and some summer 2025 weeks have already been reserved), and prices starting at just €219 per night, this incredibly cosy and stylish gem in the dreamiest countryside location in Tuscany is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway!
