Villa Savina

Love impossibly pretty, pastel, pastoral surroundings? Dreaming of a vacation in Tuscany? Really want to get away from it all and put the stresses and concerns of daily life far behind you? Well, then consider a stay in Villa Savina, a beautiful historic manor house that is immersed within the peace and quiet of the greenery of the famous rolling hills of the countryside of Tuscany. Carefully renovated in 2020, this stunning historic villa is pretty as a picture, with a charming Tuscan appearance featuring a terracotta roof, green shutters framing the windows and doors, balconies, neatly manicured gardens framing the house, elegant interiors, and a porch that offers amazing panoramic views over the beloved Tuscan landscape.

While Villa Savina is in a charmingly peaceful spot that is ideal for those looking to enjoy a proper break, the house is also near everything you need, just 4km (2 miles) from the amenities, shops, restaurants and attractions in the pretty medieval town of Monte San Savino and only 25km (15 miles) from the famous Tuscan city of Arezzo.

Sleeping up to 12 guests comfortably (and up to a possible total of 14 guests, if necessary) in six bedrooms with six bathrooms, Villa Savina is made up of a larger building (the main villa) and an annex. Guests can expect wonderfully finished and carefully considered interiors that boast: high ceilings and plenty of space; original features such as exposed beams in those ceilings, brick arches, original fireplaces, elaborately carved door-frames; a more modern finish with a use of lots of neutral and pastel tones throughout; works of art and mirrors in gilt frames; and pretty antique light fixtures and lamps as well as a sprinkling of other antiques.

The main villa is spread across two floors. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a big old fireplace, a spacious dining room, a lounge with a television, a pantry, a laundry room, a large and well-equipped and charming country kitchen with air-conditioning, an American coffee machine, an Italian coffee machine, a dining table, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, an oven and stove top, a microwave, and a toaster. There is also a bathroom that has been adapted to be made accessible to those with mobility issues. Plus, exits leave several rooms on this floor and lead out onto a balcony where there is an outdoor dining area for enjoying meals, glasses of wine, and great chats with your travel companions al fresco.

On the first floor, there are four charming double bedrooms, all executed beautifully in that same pastel palette and with pretty furnishings, antique touches, and luxurious bedding as well as en suite bathrooms, WIFI, air-conditioning, heating, and mosquito nets. This floor also has another room with another massive old fireplace and a pool table.

The annex, meanwhile, continues to maintain the same charm and attention-to-detail found in the main villa and has an additional two fully-equipped and pretty kitchens, a living room with a single sofa bed, two more bedrooms (one double and one with twin beds), and another bathroom. Also, as with the main house, WIFI and air-conditioning is available throughout this space, ensuring your comfort and convenience. Sleeping up to five guests (an additional single bed can be requested to add another guest to the total), the presence of this annex means that Villa Savina is perfect for larger groups with multiple families or a gang of old pals – offering ample living spaces, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and a mixture of private and shared spaces to ensure everyone can enjoy each others’ company without anyone beginning to step on toes. The annex is also where you will find that balcony that boasts the panoramic views over the surrounding area so it is likely where people with gather for evenings, sitting out for chats while the sun sets over the remarkable scenery with some glasses of delicious Tuscan wine.

Finally, the last space on the property is one of the most important: the incredible garden! Covering an area of approximately 2000m2, its key feature is an impressive swimming pool measuring 13m by 5.5m wide and 1.5m deep. Entirely fenced and completed with deckchairs and parasols, an outdoor shower for your convenience as well as a changing room; this pool is perfectly set up for long days of fun and sun, splashing around, making memories, or lazily relaxing with a good book and working on your tan. Additionally, the gardens feature lawns and children’s toys to keep any little ones occupied, lots of flowers, shrubs, and trees, a built-in barbecue, a gazebo for al fresco dining, and lots of little places so sit out and enjoy your surroundings and company.

Included in the rental fee are the initial set of bed linen and towels, a final cleaning upon your departure, heating, air-conditioning, and WIFI. Parking is also located on the property. Extra services that can offered to guests who are interested, at an additional fee, include cooking lessons in the villa - where a local will show you and your party how to prepare Tuscan dishes from the area - and personalised tours that can be organised for you by the owners.
