Camporempoli and Marta (the Inn Keeper) are fabulous!! The views and the house are exactly as you see them online and more! Marta suggested a local chef prepare dinner for us one night, and the experience was delightful. There are some things for potential renters to be aware of when booking: (1) Driveway is extremely hazardous and really does need a powerful vehicle to manuever, (2) there is only one store/restaurant in Lucarelli so, bring groceries with you as the store might be closed when you arrive, (3) pool is not heated, but the thrill and views are worth the slight chill!, and (4) every dollar spent was WORTH IT!!

When we met the owners we were actually moved to another apartment - a larger apartment with a beautiful terrace. The apartment was wonderful. Cortona was a perfect town for us. It was our first trip to the Tuscany area and with Cortona being so central it was easy to daytrip to Florence, Siena, Assisi, Perugia, and Montepulciano. Plus, Cortona has so much to offer on its own. The only difficulty we had was getting a hold of the owners via e-mail to arrange check-in. Without an international cell phone, it was challenging but we made it happen.

We stayed for 8 days in December 2010 and it was a perfect vacation for us. The property is located just outside San Gimignano and like others have written, has a lovely view. We enjoyed watching the changes in the skyline as the weather changed. The place is cozy and comfortable. We did not use the salon except for one evening, which is detached from the bedroom and kitchen/dining area. While there was plenty of wood to heat it, it was just easier to stay in the main part of the apartment. The owner, Marco Bracali and his family couldn't have been nicer in every way. They had put out a few Christmas touches, left cookies for us, and were supportive when we needed them. We would return here again and recommend it for others. The only remark is that the bathroom is a bit small but other than that, it's a special place to be.

We are a family of 5 that stayed at Casa Simona during December and it was wonderful. The owners were extremely welcoming and charming and the villa itself is wonderful - very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend it. The only thing I found missing was internet access.
