Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.

Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A stone-paved path leads from this area to the swimming pool and solarium, creating a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The non-heated rectangular swimming pool, measuring 5 by 16 metres with a depth of 1.40 metres, is positioned on the crest of the hill just 20 metres from the villa, offering a breathtaking panoramic view over the medieval borgo of Vinci. Lined in sand-coloured PVC and featuring Roman steps, interior lighting, and an automatic cleaning and salt purification system, the pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The paved panoramic solarium surrounding the pool is equipped with sunbeds and deckchairs shaded by a sail, and an outdoor shower is available for guests' convenience. Each Apartment offers in the garden a private and equipped outdoor area (a gazebo for each unit).
