At the centre of the garden, to the right of the kitchen area, lies the non-heated swimming pool, open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The pool features an irregular kidney shape of approximately 25 square metres with a depth of 1.50 metres. It is equipped with chlorine purification, a hydromassage system, and internal lighting, and its lining in hand-moulded marble stone allows it to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. The sunbathing area surrounding the pool is well equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, offering the perfect setting to unwind while admiring the fiery Tuscan sunsets. Please note that photographs of the property were taken in spring, so the appearance of flowering plants and garden grass may differ at the time of your arrival.

The garden is a living tapestry of seasonal blooms and wild flora, including junipers, honeysuckles, strawberry trees, ferns, cyclamens, violets, hellebores, strawberries, and wild blackberries, all of which can be discovered simply by strolling around the property. A vegetable garden with seasonal vegetables and aromatic herbs is also available for guests to enjoy. Throughout the park, various seating areas equipped with chairs and tables invite relaxation and convivial gatherings, while a convenient outdoor dining area is positioned directly at the living room exit, creating a seamless flow between interior and exterior living. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.

Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!
Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). When the property is rented as a whole, no other guests will be present on site. The estate extends across approximately 20,000 sqm, partially fenced, and features a generous yard with large areas of natural lawn, a small wood, and an olive grove. A gravel driveway lined with cypress trees leads gracefully to the villa and its dedicated parking area. Wireless internet connectivity is available throughout the property, ensuring guests remain connected during their stay.
Outdoors
The outdoor spaces of Villa Iole are as impressive as the interior, offering a variety of settings for relaxation and al fresco dining. Adjacent to the villa, a tiled terrace has been thoughtfully arranged with a comfortable lounge area, a traditional brick barbecue, and a spacious outdoor dining area, all enlivened by the fragrance of aromatic plants. The surrounding garden, covering approximately 5,000 sqm of the total estate, is composed of expansive natural lawn areas and is further enriched by a small wood and an olive grove at its far end. The non-heated swimming pool is situated at the far end of the garden, easily reached by walking across the lawn. Rectangular in shape, it measures 14 x 7 metres with a depth of 1.50 metres, and is lined in natural stone with Roman steps for access and internal lighting. The pool features both chlorine and salt purification systems and is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The surrounding solarium area is paved in natural grey stone and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, while 2 gazebos with lounge seating and a table are set on the lawn nearby. A cold-water outdoor shower completes the pool area. Please note that photographs of the property were taken in spring; flower blossoming and the colours of the garden grass may therefore differ at the time of your arrival.
