Castello di Montegufoni is an exclusive location to spend wonderful holidays in the heart of Chianti Region.
Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!

A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). WI-FI internet connection available in some apartment, in the reception and restaurant area.

Lined in PVC and equipped with a salt purification system, the pool features submerged steps for easy water access and can be enjoyed even after sunset thanks to interior and exterior lighting. The surrounding solarium, finished in stone and lawn, is furnished with sunbeds, an umbrella, and a comfortable sofa with armchairs shaded by a gazebo. Hot and cold-water showers are available on one side of the pool area, and a security fence runs along the external perimeter. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. The outdoor spaces of Villa Bel Panorama are designed to invite relaxation and contemplation at every turn. Stone-paved paths wind through the property, connecting the villa to its various surrounding areas and offering multiple viewpoints over the rolling Tuscan hills. The upper terrace is home to a traditional olive grove alongside the parking area. The central terrace features a well-maintained lawn adorned with Mediterranean shrubs, holm oaks, oleanders, aromatic herbs, and a jujube tree, creating a fragrant and verdant retreat. A covered panoramic porch provides an elegant setting for outdoor dining, while a circular brick barbecue on the lower garden level adds a rustic touch perfect for al fresco evenings. The lower terrace is dedicated entirely to the pool and solarium. The rectangular heated swimming pool measures 9 x 4.5 meters with a constant depth of 1.30 meters, finished with light-colored PVC and accessed via a Roman staircase. The water is heated to an approximate temperature of 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, subject to a minimum outside temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, and is equipped with an automatic solar cover operated by remote control, as well as an automatic internal lighting system with a twilight sensor. The pool operates from the last week of April to the first week of October. The surrounding solarium is paved with terracotta and framed by Mediterranean herbs and broom hedges, and is furnished with sun loungers and tables. Please note that the photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns, and park may differ from what you encounter upon arrival.

The property is completely fenced, ensuring privacy and security throughout your stay. Please be aware that the last 1.7 km of the access road are unpaved and are not recommended for sports cars. The pool is open from the last week of April to the first week of October. Pets are welcome at the property; however, a mandatory extra cleaning fee applies in the presence of animals. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the tourist tax. A Zer0Dep Guarantee is included, meaning you do not pay a security deposit on balance or upon arrival, and you benefit from EuropAssistance coverage in case of accidental damage caused to the property during your stay, up to a maximum of 1,500.00 euros and subject to the restrictions provided.

This property enjoys extensive panoramic views over the surrounding vineyards and olive groves and over San Gimignano in the background. The estate offers 2 restored farmhouses, a manor house occasionally occupied by the property owners and a nice shared pool (approx. 100 m from the units Vittoriana 1, 2 and 150 m from Vittoriana 3 away).
All of the apartments are nicely furnished in a rustic style and provide a personal furnished outdoor area and a shared barbecue.
The access to the property is via an unpaved but well-maintained road (of approx. 2 km) suitable to any cars.
Distances: San Gimignano with general stores 5,5 km away, Poggibonsi 15 km, Volterra 30 km away, Siena 50 km, Florence (airport) 55 km away, Pisa (airport) 85 km, Lucca 90 km away. The coastline area of Cecina and Castiglioncello (beaches) is within 85 km.
