Property Description

An ideal location for your holiday in Chianti, Castello di Montegonzi is a delightful hamlet of houses built around a fortified castle that dates back to the 12th century. The property offers 7 apartments sharing the pool, of which we publish 5.
Montegonzi is situated in a quiet and panoramic location, nestled among vineyards and olive groves. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. It has been recently and masterfully restored preserving its original architectural features. To make your holidays in Chianti simply perfect, the property offers comfortable apartments of various sizes. They are all pleasantly decorated in rustic Tuscan style.

At guests’ disposal: a beautiful garden equipped with sun-beds, sun-umbrellas and tables, swimming pool (12 x 6 m – maximum depth 1,5 m – open from March, 30 to November,5) situated in a panoramic location, shared barbecue, private furnished outdoor area for each apartment. Washing-machine in the communal laundry, iron and iron board available on request as well as hairdryers.

Maid service available on request (payment on the spot). Extra bed, baby bed and high chair available on request at no additional cost. Pets are allowed.

The access to the property is via an unpaved road not suitable for sports cars. Parking on the property.

Distances:

The property is connected to Greve village by a white road of about 800 m, which anyway is fine only on foot (no lights at night) or if you drive a 4 wheel-driver.
Otherwise, the drive to Greve is 10 km; Panzano 6 km.

There are buses running from/to Greve and Panzano to/from Florence every hour and trip lasts one hour approximately and ticket price is around 3,15 euro per person one way.
Bus stop in Greve is Piazza Trento , the first bus stop in Greve and then , to reach our property, you need a taxi . Please book this service previous to your arrival.
No buses running directely to Siena or San Gimignano. To go to any other place apart from Florence, you have to go back to Florence and take another bus to another destination.
Sita Bus Station in Florence( Via Santa Caterina da Siena )is just 5 minutes walking from Santa Maria Novella Train Station ( the main one ).
We also have a service of private cars with private drivers which can take you wherever you like for a day tour. To get more information about tours and prices with private car and driver, please ask before coming.
Taxi Service to/from the property and the villages of Greve and Panzano: on request (about € 20 per way).

Swimming Pool

The swimming-pool, 12 x 6 mt. and maximum depth 1,5 mt.,it is open from March, 30 till November, 5 and it is situated in a panoramic location.
