Until a few years ago the house was the heart of a large farm, then a recent and careful renovation, which the owners carried out with love and care to keep the old features of the villa unaltered, transformed it into a cosy holiday home.
Still next to the house you will find the wine cellar where the owner produces excellent wine (Vino DOC Cortona), which you can taste for free during your holiday.
All around the house you will have at your disposal a large green area equipped with gazebo, table and chairs for your outdoor dinners in company, barbecue, games for children and shaded parking spaces. At the back of the house is the large swimming pool (size 6x12 m, depth 1.20-1.40 m - open from 01st May to 30th September) for your exclusive use. Podere Marcigliano consists of 2 newly built villas, which nevertheless reflect the architectural characteristics of the farmhouses of the past. Each apartment has a large green area, a beautiful swimming pool (size 7x14 m, depth 1.50 m - open from 17 May to 30 September and fully fenced), a barbecue, a laundry room in common use and children's games, and its own private area equipped with a furnished gazebo for your meals in the open air.

Only 7 km away you will find the characteristic town of Foiano della Chiana, with its red brick buildings, perched on a green hillock. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 9:30. The minimum stay is 1 week, and during high season bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. Villa Santa is part of an exclusive Umbrian estate, one of the most prestigious private country estates in Italy, owned by the same family for generations. The estate is renowned for its thousands of acres of pristine woods and olive groves, superb valleys, lakes, and rivers, offering an ideal setting for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with exceptional comfort and elegance. Check-in time is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, while check-out is by 10:00 am. Late check-in after 8:00 pm requires advance communication. The estate can be reached via 3 kilometers of white gravel road in good condition but occasionally steep with small stones. These country roads are not suitable for low-altitude cars or sports cars, and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for more comfortable driving. Only transfers arranged through the estate concierge team are permitted to access the property. The minimum stay requirement is 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday, except for last-minute requests. Short stays and daily rates may be available in other seasons upon request. A security deposit is required. A tourist tax may be required upon arrival according to local municipality regulations.
