Le Donne di Bargecchia is part of a small hamlet located on the hills above the beautiful Versilia, not far from Viareggio.
The property is divided into the main villa and 4 annexes (one lived in by the housekeeper and 3 for rent ).
The villa has been thoroughly restored keeping the original style of the 16th century. All around you can see the olive trees, bordered by a river, the sea and the lake all surrounded by breathtaking views.
In the main villa and in each unit 1 extra single bed can be added (it is on request and to be paid on the spot).

At guests' disposal:
- Swimming-pool mt. 7 x 4, max depth mt. 1.80, equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and tables (for the exclusive use of VILLA LORIEN)
- Swimming-pool mt. 7 x 4, equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and tables (for the shared use of the apartments "CECILIA", "GIUSEPPINA" and "GINA").

One such gem is Massaciuccoli Romana, an archaeological complex that is home to a wide variety of ruins and remains from the time of the Romans including villas, baths, and more.

Located in the municipality of Massarosa, on the banks of Lake Massaciuccoli, the first indications of the Massaciuccoli Romana complex were first discovered back in 1756 though there wasn’t much public interest or involvement from the larger academic world until the 19th, and then the 20th, century. A Roman lead pipe inscription (a Latin inscription that is found on leaden Roman water pipes and which provides information on its manufacturer, owner, and often the reigning emperor) was found in 1770 and then the western sector of another group of structures was discovered in the 1930s, which included a balneum (a thermal plant built for private, rather than public, use) and mosaics, that were deemed to be part of a villa. In the 2000s the work at Massaciuccoli Romana was officially taken up and continued under the authority of the Municipality of Massarosa. The Municipality also opened the site as a tourist attraction and museum in this time period and continue to promote education, research, and excavation on the site to this day.

Eigentlich wunderschön: Lage, Räumlichkeiten und der Verwalter. Aber: es sind im Prinzip 2 Anwesen. Die Villa mit exquisiten Pool, Sitzflächen und extra Garten. Und dann die 3 Appartements, die deutlich abfallen: Schöner Folienpool, aber etwas abseits und Sitzflächen im Hof. Außerdem ist bei Gina nur eine kleine kitchenette dabei. Reicht und schön, aber eben einfach. Daher passen die Bilder für das ganze Anwesen, aber eben vorallem für die Villa. Leider haben sie dann Bilder bei den Appartments, die zur Villa gehören, was ich für bewusste Irreführung der Kunden halte. Wurde es trotzdem mit dem heutigen Wissen wieder buchen.

Panorama magnifico casa ben restaurata e personale molto disponibile però la piscina pubblicizzata sul sito non era disponibile in quanto riservata alla villa e il divano letto era a una piazza e mezza e abbastanza scomodo non certo adatto a due persone adulte. Abbiamo dovuto adattarci alla meglio per due settimane, non certo una bella sorpresa.

We had a very nice time in a wonderful area. The holiday flat was very clean and estheticly. In the kitchen were not so many things to cook, for eample nothing to bake and to mix. The people their were very nice and helpful but theit English was so little that it wasn`t really possible to ask something. It was expensive to wash clothes. But we would spent our holidays there once more. The pool and the whole residence is just great! Thank you!
