This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. The owners of the estate, with long experience in providing guest accommodations, completed restoration of this stone-built farmhouse in 2005. Their aim was to make it the ideal residence for those seeking a totally relaxing holiday in Chianti, so they have provided full-time staff to take care of the house and to prepare meals for guests. The interior of Casavecchia Volpaia has been restored with full respect for the typical Tuscan traditions, and each bedroom has been equipped with an en-suite bathroom Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate. The English speaking estate staff can organize cooking lessons, visits to the wine cellars and will be glad to assist guests during their stay.
The property can also be rented with a cooking service (breakfast and another meal) at extra cost. It is also possible to rent it for 12 people with extra accommodation in an adjacent dependance.

Villa di Montegemoli is an ancient residence which belongs to the same noble family since the 19th Century and it has been used by the family as summer residence. The property is part of an extensive estate of about 1200 hectares, including a castle, an ancient hamlet and several farmhouses, all belonging to the same owners and boasting a rich history dating back to the 12th Century. Montegemoli was also the birthplace of Dante Alighieri's mother and there is a garden dedicated to her on the estate. This historic villa is a typical country house located in the countryside around Florence in the Chianti area and once belonged to the Pucci family. Completely renovated in 2000, it measures 600 square metres across three storeys.
The property is on two hectares of fenced-in grounds, with a well cared for and ample lawn surrounding the villa and pool.
The pool (18m x 4m) can be heated to a maximum temperature of 29° depending on the weather conditions and time of year, offers a stunning view across the landscape and is accessible via a ladder (opening date 15/03 - 28/10). The heating of the pool is an extra feature and in order to request this service, one must ask for it a week before arrival; also available are pool equipment, a gazebo and lounge chairs. There is an area equipped with 2 barbecues and a wood oven. There is a parking available for a maximum of 15 cars on the property grounds few steps away from the villa.

This farmhouse has been immaculately converted and is in a very peaceful position in the hills between Lucca and the Versilian coast, one kilometre from the medieval village of Loppeglia. From the large verandah, the colorful garden and the pool area there are beautiful views of the valley below. The house has been converted in a way which makes it possible for two families and groups to share it and remain independent. The first and second floors can be divided into two parts by closing just one door. In separate rooms there is a small billiard table and a wood oven. The very well-kept garden, rich with flowers and plants typical of the area, is completely fenced, making it ideal for families with young children. The large swimming pool is located in a panoramic position in the centre of the flat lawn. A shower and bathroom facilities have also been installed in the pool area.

Gran Burrone (meaning "RIvendell" from "The Lord of the Rings") is situated in an ancient hamlet named "La Rocca" and dating back to the 11th century which was a former base for pilgrims and Templar Knights on their journey to the "Terra Santa" (Holy Land). The owner recently bought what was once a ruin at the borders of the hamlet and restored it in total respect of the original structure, using antique materials, hand-made cotto floors and beamed ceilings. The interiors have been furnished very comfortably and with all modern amenities, including a relaxing room with Jacuzzi. The particular 'knight theme' furniture of the dining room, with original metal armors and decorations reflects the owner's passion for the Templars' history adding a special atmosphere to the interiors. The property boasts beautiful views on the landscapes of Garfagnana, a very attractive and still unspoilt region north of Lucca. This is an ideal getaway for those fond of hiking who love exploring pretty villages and Romanian churches. The swimming pool (3,5 x 10 m) has been placed on the most panoramic point on the estate, granting stunning views. The neighbour has a cat that may came around during your stay. Thus we do not recommend this property to those allergic to cat dander.

This house dates back to the seventeenth century and was originally built as a farm manager's house with wine cellars, stables and a hayloft for the Mansi-Bernardini estate. It has been tastefully converted into a villa with pretty countrystyle bedrooms on different levels and modern bathrooms and kitchen. The result is a farmhouse of a high standard situated on top of a hill, east of Lucca, with magnificent views over the plain below. The swimming pool is in a breathtaking position about 150 metres from the house. By the side of the pool there is a cabin with kitchenette and bathroom. There is a tennis court on the estate. The house has satellite TV, DVD and hi-fi system. The maid who takes care of the villa is also an excellent cook and, on request, she will cook local dishes for clients. Fattoria Mansi Bernardini office, on the estate, with English speaking staff, is at clients' disposal to give assistance.

Torre del Cielo - 'Tower of the Sky' - takes its name from its outstanding position over the valley from which you can enjoy superb panoramic views.
The tower was built in middle of 1600 when it was used as a lookout for approaching enemies. In 1894 the building was expanded to include a stone farmhouse. This work was done by the great-grandfather of the current owner.
Traditional Tuscan style was maintained in the recent restoration of this property. The ceiling and floors are beautifully finished with terracotta tiles, and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams. The original wooden doors have all been refinished with antique hardware.
There is a new pool (12 x 6 m depth 1.5 mt; open from 1st May to1st October) in a beautiful garden with roses , lavender, jasmine, with cypresses and olive trees, offering stunning views over the valley towards the lush green tuscan hills.
The owner can put next to the pool a heated Jacuzzi (on request at time of booking): the cost is € 250 per week.
The pool area has a big gazebo, table, chairs and barbeques, from which to enjoy your al-fresco meal, the mediaeval town of Monterchi and the lush green Tuscan Hills are a backdrop.

From its secluded position the views are absolutely stunning, with all the windows framing a picture of the lovely Chianti countryside at its best. To the rear of the property, is a converted barn where the housekeeper lives. Resident cat at the property. There is a 1 km unmade driveway leading to Camporempoli.
